Despite being in 6th and winning their last two games - including beating WBA on Friday - Birmingham have sacked their boss and rumours are they are looking at Rooney... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67053921:eek:
Highest place 17th in the past 7 seasons. Flirted with relegation. Big. little club imo. 9 seasons in the top flight in 40yrs.
They did the same thing when they sacked Gary Rowett a few seasons ago and replaced him with Zola. Mental.
That went well. I hope it goes the same way this time. BBC News - Wayne Rooney linked with Birmingham City job as head coach John Eustace is sacked https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67053921
Keeping them up and then the following season challenging for promotion, should be deemed good enough.
Any credit at Derby should have gone to Rosenior. What he is doing now at Hull shows. Derby were equally guilty of getting rid of upcoming talent to employ David Brent
My list is around 100, given some of the ones I don’t like are now non-league. I don’t mind York City (never beaten us) and Barnet (don’t think we have ever played them).
Well I thought Rooney did well at Derby.....I think there’s a lot of ingrained jealousy of him over years tbh.....he had a great playing career and just taking first steps on managerial ladder.....someone thinks he okay because he getting another job by all accounts
He did alright at Derby, one of the few managers to work us out under Ismael. Sacking Eustace to appoint him is properly daft though.
Remember how lucky they/Brum were to stay up on the final day of season '13. And that sent Donny down with us, which was really difficult for them and their caravans lol. Birmingham should be doing much better than just surviving in the Championship. But now when they look like they are making progress, their manager hits the sack again!.
