It does seem like their customer service leaves a lot to be desired and I'm not admonishing them of all blame, but if they haven't received the stock they can't send it out. But I'm still guessing really as nothing has been communicated. I back the owners of our club, I think they're a huge positive and I believe we'll enjoy a lot of success under their stewardship. I haven’t been personally affected by this as I've made no order. I'm not one for calling for statements from the board. However, this has adversely affected a lot of Barnsley fans who have paid a lot of money for orders that were either extremely late or haven't yet been fulfilled. There needs to be a full and clear explanation, by the club, of what went wrong, an apology for what has happened, and a plan laid out for how they're going to prevent the same happening again. And if it's completely out of their hands and entirely down to supply chain issues, an admission that they are unable to guarantee the delivery schedule or the fulfilment of any orders until further notice, allowing customers to make an informed choice. Their silence on this when so many fans have had such large amounts of money tied in unfulfilled orders is not something I can defend or even understand.
Sent a complaint e-mail to Fanatics. They replied saying that I could return the item and send me a refund. They sent the item along with my order so I didn't want a refund. I give up. It'll come when it comes.
Not a fan about statement demands either, that said after saying at the Fan engagement they would look into you would have thought something would have come out. The club are 100% responsible for that part.
Think it’s just a vast bridging loan scheme- they make up a load of stuff they don’t have and can’t deliver, take orders and money, earn the interest and/or use the money for something else and wait for people to cancel. Either way it wouldn’t surprise e if they stopped answering calls one day and their ceo is off to Honduras.
That is one of the considerations that pushed me to cancel my order today ( also it may not fit me now !! )
This problem seems to happen every year,I've no idea how many shirts we sell it can't be a massive amount. We only have a hard core of about 10 thousand fans say 1 in 3 buy one so 3 thousands ish can't we just do that in house. Seen it said it needs the badge of a big manufacturer does it really matter to a Barnsley fan not as if we sell to casual fans only to people that the club means something to. The contracts jaq has surely she can find a way to manufacture enough shirts and keep all the profits in the club. Far from an expert on the subject and maybe far more to it than I think but it seems such a shame year after year fans can't purchase a shirt to wear with pride in the warmer months.
The part I don't get is the shirt is available from the club shop now. Why haven't they just took a shirt off the shelf, personalised it and sent it?
Presumably, because they don't get sent from the club shop, that will happen at a central processing warehouse with all the other clubs they represent.
The question is then what haven't the club got involved and dictated that they stop sending stock to the club shop and use it to instead fulfill all of the failed orders that have in their backlog? Still absolutely appalled by the club's complete refusal to comment on the issue. Does the trust need to get involved and remind the club that these are real people with real money invested?
Seriously though mate. I haven't seen one around. Or heard of one delivered. (But my memory isn't what it was. ) Are you watching the group final btw. England Xl v the Swiss. 7:30 pm start.
