Not necessarily the worst but worth a mention. Drawing 3-3 at home to Stockport in the Hart years.

We were somehow 3-0 up at halftime despite being crap. Tony Vaughan had scored two but then gave one of the worst defensive displays I've ever seen outside of Jim McNulty. Stockport walked through us and should've won.

For overall crap, the Hodges era takes it (didn't see much Schopp/Ashbaghi). Mansfield at home sticks in the mind.

Mansfield one was grim. Horrible weather and their fans smashed up the cinema and half of Eldon Street afterwards.

It was the time of administration too I believe. Two and a half years after Wembley 2000 and we looked destined for the 4th division at best, extinction at worst.

2-0 defeat at Bristol City under the Davey era around 07/08 season maybe? It was a 2-0 mauling, we barely laid a glove on them, think McIndoe scored for Brizzle….

Another dreadful Bristol City game was just after we'd gone into admin and Wilson's side came and beat us 4-1. Dark days.

I don't remember the year but a nil nil away at Bristol City in the FA Cup. I had a shocking hangover, its was freezing and the game was abysmal.

Was at that one too... totally forgot it TBH. Was seeing a lass who was from there, but at Uni in Leeds.

Even Stephen King would have found it beyond the reams of possibility.

My memory is quite flakey TBH. Sadly the lass in question, Katie died last year of meningitis of the brain. I'd not seen her in many a year. Puts football into perspective. She was a lovely girl, a lot younger than me. I was a bit too rock & roll for her and I'm still here.

Worth a point in the end but left ourselves with too much to do.

Some of the Hecky games in the championship when we played 4141 with Tom Bradshaw as the front 1.

I still can't let it go how bad some of them games were.

Goodness me there's some bad matches and bad memories coming back on this thread. All these awful matches, did they really happen lol.
What about the 6-1 loss at a soon to be relegated Grimsby team, and Isiah Rankin really rubbed our faces in it!!.
That 0-5 loss to Birmingham early on in season '95 had a lot to do with Steve Claridge being a diving cheat, and getting David Watson sent off inside the first 10-15 minutes.

Ohh and another massive disappointment for me, was the Full Members/Zenith cup Qtr final defeat against Everton, in season '90.
We'd been cheated at Leeds that season in the Fa cup replay, and Leeds were waiting for the winners of our tie, in what would have been a two leg Semi final.
And then if that wasn't enough, there was the extra incentive of a Wembley final after that, against C.Palace I think. :(

I think this is the most upset I’ve been with a Barnsley team. No fight, just a feeble surrender. And then we got stranded in Nottingham post match with the bus home a no- show. Gutting

Doncaster away at Belle Due, 4-0 defeat, snowing, uncovered away end. Main thing I'm sure I remember was that Tony Vaughan was playing, which probably goes some way to explaining the scoreline. One of the very few games I've left early simply because it was so bad (and the snow didn't help!)

Think you're thinking of the same one i put. Tony Vaughan actually got sent off in the game - by Urinal Rennie.
