Fuming, Disgraceful, hypocrites - we are talking about a lower league goalkeeper
Can I respectfully suggest you just watch the news and get things into perspective

I doubt Puma would be very happy with the quality issues either. It is their name on the kits as well. If club are being silent which is very poor practice, get on to Puma, may prompt some action.
Luckily not bought one this year so not having the difficulties.

That’s irrelevant. People are entitled to be p!ssed off at other stuff.

Why should we all ignore poor service because there’s 2 wars on? Both of which have no direct bearing on the service provided?

Yup, truly awful to see the waste of human life on all sides, but not related.

And yes, I’m fuming about it. Best part of £100 for the kit.

I wouldn’t get away with giving poor service at work.

We could use that attitude any/every day of our lives. But it's not realistic.

Yes, it's f'ing awful what's happening in Gaza and Israel. And the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. And the people doing in small boats. And all the other **** that's happening.

But none of that changes the fact that people have paid good money for a product and been given appalling service. If we're suggesting that they should shrug their shoulders and accept it because it's a first world problem then where do we draw the line?

In comparison this is small fry. However, unlike the majority of the issues in the world today, this is directly affecting members of our club/support. We can feel bad/complain about this AND acknowledge the **** that individuals are feeling across the globe.

I left them a review on Trustpilot. They have just emailed and asked for my order number as Fanatics want additional information, an order number or email address. If I don't provide them they will delete my review!

I've provided the info, everybody else who has received poor service please leave a review.

I'm not big on bashing the board, but I find their silence on this a long way short of acceptable. Particularly as one of the board members was involved in bringing in the designer of the shirt*. I haven't bought a shirt and even I find it frustrating.

Still don't think it's the fault of Fanatics. I think it's the fault of either the club or the manufacturers or both. And I think one of the reasons the club aren't saying anything is that they're happy for the criticism to be directed at Fanatics. I reckon if people were made aware of what caused all these delays and cancellations, the club would be receiving a lot more criticism.

*And the designs are unadulterated toss!

I'm glad I read this post this morning as I popped out of work for dinner earlier and when the we woman served me she spat in my sandwich. At first I was ready to call her a dirty *beep* but then I remembered your words and thought to myself, "I've watched the news, I need to be grateful really" so instead I thanked her and give her a fiver tip because although she was spitting in my dinner at least I wasn't getting bombed.

*Shameless plug for a fellow bbser*
If you don't want spit in your sarnies but instead want a good bite to eat then everyone should give the Lunch Club at pogmoor a go. Amazing service with even better food all at a price that even Barnsley folk can't argue with.

So finally got my sons goalkeeper shirt. The pattern doesn’t match but it looks vaguely like the GK shirt. Just the socks left to go now.

Puma contract runs out this season, I'm led to believe. And it'll be a small issue for them. to look into it. Imo.

The club will have to do something. Or they can forget good sales next season. I honestly don't see anyone pre purchasing, and as said b4. Shop sales will plummet if not ready for school hols or start of season. It's not rocket science to work that one out.

I reckon there will be enough home shirts left on the shelf this yr to make it a 2yr product. Shirt Sponsor is tied in for next season at least I believe.

We are all lead to believe this year’s design was late being approved. Which delayed the production process. We’re not alone in this - Chelsea have had similar issues, amongst others.

Therefore, whilst Fanatics aren’t great - they were probably not of the original making of this.

For me, if the club were up front and honest about all of this, then it would have been a lot easier to stomach.

But regardless, how do you sell out of items that have been specifically pre-ordered! And then when you do cancel, you don’t offer the chance to return FOC or to the club store, any related items such as matching shorts.

I'd love to know what exactly required special approval from the fa. Was it the sponsor because of our previous serial breaches of sponsorship rules in the last season?
Was it the change of shirt colour?
Or was it just the incorrect badge being used on the black shirt?

I think it was just approving the shirt. Nothing else tbh.

I'm a real fan of our board. I think they have the interests of Barnsley FC and the fanbase at the top of their agenda. I also think they're extremely competent and we're going to see a lot of success in the coming years. I don't shy away from my feelings on this and I post my support all the time, particularly when things are going badly, and I open myself up to a lot of flak. But they've got this wrong, and they get a few things wrong, and they need to get someone in who can advise them, because they're not engaging with all the fanbase. They're the best thing that's happened to this club for years, and yet they're still alienating people and they need to sort that out.

What's happened with the replica kits is unacceptable, for heaven's sake, someone address it!

So finally my last post on this kit issue in terms of the “pre order I made on the 29th June” I have now received 2 out of the 3 parts of the order (shirt & shorts) which came a week apart of each other, but now been emailed to say that I won’t be getting the socks as out of stock. Really not sure who it’s taken nearly 4 months to come to the realisation they won’t have them.

What a ******* **** show this whole launch with fanatics turned into. I’m now having to order the same socks from WBA to rectify this issue. Joke.

I am normally a supporter of the board and do think they have improved things but I can’t for the life of me understand why they have gone with fanatics. I have just looked at the clubs around our level that are manufactured by Puma (not all of them I got bored) and they are all in stock and able to be delivered (even next day).
So it can’t be a manufacturing issue if the likes of Oldham have stock that can be sent out immediately. It’s either we have messed up (could be a late design change) or fantatics are living up to their reviews. They really need to come out and make a statement about what has gone wrong and how it’s going to be fixed. We must be losing thousands in sales and no one seems to care at the club

That is of course if fanatics are giving us a share of the sales as opposed to if they have simply payed a set amount to buy the rights to use our name and badge as sole supplier. If it's the former then yes the club is losing money, if it's the latter it's only fans being hurt.
Would explain why they appear to care so little
