Hats of to Herbie Kane. One of the most inept 45 minutes I’ve seen from a player in a long time. Watters anonymous. Cole no service. Poor performance against average opposition in a woeful game.

More positively we have players on the bench who can change the game and we gave 45 minutes to sort it.

I was surprised we offered Watters a contract after a less than impressive loan spell last season.

I think that hits his arm.

It's difficult to tell as there's not enough frames, but I think the trajectory of the ball is into his arm which gets knocked back.

I wouldn't stake my life on it, but that's how it looks to me.

Still don't think it's a penalty as he's too close, but I don't think it looks like his leg.

I disagree. IF it hits his arm, it's a stone wall penalty. I think it's difficult to argue that his arm is in a natural position.

But it's a big IF. I've watched it about 15 times, and I can't tell.

Cole's form seems to have dipped since he started playing Watters at the side of him

Imho...it didn't look a pen in real time and the " x" replay proves that.
Now the match....we look fairly comfy but the midfield lacks any dynamism....no one to take it on ...3 players in the midfield all neat and tidy but much of a likeness. Our danger comes from Cadden but we need him on it more.
On a brighter note the French kid is looking great at the back and my man of the match so far.
    Coley needs a goal.

Having just seen the slow motion, he blocks it on the knee and it bounces up and hits his hand.

So far Barnsley have looked so ineffective going forward. Sloppy concentration and misplaced passing, stopping and turning back rather than driving at them. Players drifting offside. Watters not getting on the end of Cadden's good cross.

Cosgrove, Cotter and McAtee on for Watters, Benson and O'Keeffe as mentioned above.

Judging by that post from ST - its a pen. Arm in an "unnatural" position.
