York don't even think he deserves starts and fans aren't impressed with his cameos. He isn't the answer.

Why doesn't Collins play the team which is obviously better when the subs come on at the start ?

because over the course of 90 minutes different players tire at different rates - so a player that looks good when they come on as a sub after an hour might struggle against the same opposition from the start. Also tactics change and conditions throughout the game.

    Excellent point.

We've only failed to win 6 games out of 13, losing just 4, which is a great start to the season considering we lost our entire back line and have struggled to get two thirds of the midfield fit. But in 4 of those 6 we've conceded a penalty. I don't know what we can do about the one today, but there's certainly some work to be done about discipline in the last 3rd of the field and allowing players into our penalty area.

I think Williams is a better right centre half than he is a wing back. But, at the moment, he's a much better wing back than either Cotter or O'Keeffe. They've both got a lot to offer going forward, but neither are offering enough defensively. Nowhere near. I'd be more than tempted to move Williams to wing back, and bring in one of the centre halves. McCarthy? I think that might solve the problem of letting the opposition into the box and giving away chances and penalties.

Thought Killip played well, and if the penalty wasn't so bloody well hit, he'd have got it.

MDG played like a nutter in early games. Look at him now.
Cosgrove did nothing wrong when he won the header for his first booking, so it's not unreasonable to chirp a bit at that time. Depends on what he said to the ref . Admittedly he will get booked for behaving as he did in the second incident.
As for the rest of the game, it was a pen but an unlucky one.
A draw was a fair result.
Collins ought to be thinking of playing McAtee from the start.
MDG was excellent again. Keeper did as well as our first choice.
Both O'Keefe and Cotter were pants.

Two home wins this week would make it a fantastic point

And the most important thing is, we gave our magnificent supporters something to cheer. Nowt like letting rip for about 45 seconds.

I’d agree about Jordan. We need him at wing back. The other options offer significantly less and unbalance us.

It was a very poor performance by Cotter.

I genuinely don't understand the criticism of Watters. I can see that it's not coming off for him at the moment, but he's a professional and he does his job. He works hard and he's part of the team. That performance by Cotter is as bad as I've seen by anyone for a long time. And I like the lad!

yeah I’m the same with Cotter I love him but when he’s bad he’s very bad.

The criticism of Watters does seem OTT. He was certainly not any worse than Cole and should have had an assist to his name. He puts the effort in and closes down very well. We need to use his pace better for sure and he needs a run of goals. Fans need to get off his back.

Happy to come away from that with a point. I didn't think it was a penalty, but wasn't surprised when it was given. The referee then outdid himself with the sending off, as well. Still third, with apparently a **** manager & **** players.

Russell was ponderous at times today (he was limping for quite a while after his early foul) but he is useful for his height, especially with the defence still learning.

I thought Russell was the best of the midfield starting 3
