And thats why its an awful sport. Match decided by an arbitrary decision at a scrum. Might as well toss a coin.
I'm sorry but there's no way England should have lost that game from being 15-6 ahead. The amount of penalties they gave away was pathetic. England getting praised when they should be getting criticised for throwing the game away.
Like four years ago for missing an opportunity. Should never have lost with a lead of more than a try with not long left. We don't half lack try scorers.
I quite enjoyed the game but I'm still none the wiser about the majority of the technical offences. Genuinely don't understand how South Africa managed to force England to commit fouls at so many scrums. Surely we just don't foul them?
The absolute jammy sods!!. But admittedly they have taken advantage of the penalties we've given away. I hope New Zingland sort them out in the Final!.
Farrel's use of the up & under at every opportunity was our undoing for me. No real Plan B but fair play they gave it all they had.
Great effort by England tonight, took the world’s no1 team right to the wire. Which is usually high praise in itself but considering how unconvincing England had been thus far, it makes their performance even better. I was expecting not to be watching the 2nd half as The Boks would be so far in front, but England took them right to the wire.Really enjoyed the game. Not bothered who wins it now
Its just a joke mate. They're guessing. I don't know much about it but to me it looks like at the scrum they're turning early but i'm guessing like they are. The game is decided by refs guessing.
I’d prefer New Zealand. But as SA have poxed on point wins in the last 2 games I expect they will Nick it
Did well in the first half controlling the game. Oh well, at least we avoid embarrassment from the kiwis trouncing us in the final!
People knocking England for giving the penalties away at the end have got it wrong, the Springbok pack is so big they deliberately force the scrum round and under current stupid laws they give a penalty against the lighter pack for the offense of not being big enough to prevent it. They beat us in the last World Cup Final using exactly the same tactic and for 65 minutes we managed to prevent it... its small margins but our only mistake was the high kick into the box near the end that allowed them to call the 'mark'... and then opt for the scrum rather than the free kick (which has virtually never been done before).. getting the penalty from the scrum allows them to kick 50 yards down the field into touch and then have the line out throw... had they taken the free kick it would have been England's ball.
