The dissent was for like you say the ref definitely getting the foul against Cosgrove wrong so hardly a correct booking and the second one was given after Cosgrove was getting his shirt pulled so the game should have been stopped before he got the card.
Dissent is dissent. Kicking the ball away is kicking the ball away. Awful ref but no excuse for Cosgrove.
in real time at the game looked a definite second yellow for kicking the ball away. Would need to see it again.
Refs fallen for every trick in the book in that moment. Weird they seem to overlook everything the other way at every Barnsley game I’ve seen this past year.
In real time I heard the whistle blow and Cosgrove kick the ball after. I think Cosgrove gives a **** ref a decision to make.
Ref will be getting 0 from me in the ref poll. If we did one for players Cosgrove would also get a 0 from me
Be nice to think that they would appeal that red card so he can play on Tuesday. Hard to be sure about all of it because the iFollow images were not clear enough - occasional blurring and the camera angle was not great - but I would have thought it worth an appeal. We probably won't though
That’s a fairly straightforward yellow. The ref got the foul wrong. Cosgrove showed dissent. Players have been told of a zero tolerance approach to dissent by refs association
Not sure how the ref decided this was a booking for cosgrove but we get weird decisions every game now.
Not actually sure what the second booking is for......maybe influenced by the drama of their bloke going down and the appeals. No problem with his booking for dissent..it wasn't a fowl...but reacted badly and officials have been ordered (rightly,) to clamp down on this stuff.
What was the whistle for. Cosgrove getting his shirt pulled I don’t see a foul by him anywhere. Didn’t hear a whistle but Orient were pretending he had gone in over the top on their player
Cosgrove certainly looks to be a big strong lad so hopefully Collins can find a way for him to benefit us like he did Plymouth last season.
Clutching at straws here , 2 definite yellow cards not sure how we can disagree. Yes he won ball but he got booked for dissent . 2nd yellow gone into a flying challenge after whilst was blown We drew today due to not playing very well
Second booking looks more iffy than the first looking at the vids. First one is absolutely bang on deserved yellow. Second (I was sat with Orient fans) so perhaps had a different view. There was a tussle. Ref gave it against Cosgrove who heard the whistle and booted the ball away. None of the Orient lads I was with thought the initial challenge was a foul but all and me included thought he deliberately booted the ball away.
Which is exactly why I can understand it happening. Ref is giving you nothing and you get annoyed. Never happens against us. Players let off time and time again usually.
