Yet watch it happen time and time against us this season yet an opposition player never gets sent off.
I don't understand how everyone has missed the clear red for their player kicking Cosgrove while he's on the floor in the first booking incident?
let’s be honest as fans we all have our hard luck stories whoever we support the rest of the world is against us and every decision the ref makes emerita the opposition
so sat with Orient fans today and they slated the ref from first to last. None of them thought it was a pen. None of them thought the ref gave themmuch. decisions even out over a season. We had one against Cambridge when the game was close that was a definite pen. It wasn’t given then we went up the over end and scored . I have no sympathy with Cosgrove he was an idiot and deserved to be sent off. Just watched Sky highlights and he pretty clearly hears the whistle and boots the ball away in frustration. Just idiotic
They don't though, do they. Or we'd get awarded a penalty, ever. Honestly, look at the penalty records, i've posted them often enough. It just defies all empirical evidence to say it evens itself out when it blatantly doesn't.
football fans whinge at refs. It’s not a new thing. Players act idiotically. It’s not a new thing. A bad ref is a bad ref for both teams. It’s that simple.
my Orient mates said the same thing today. The penalty shout they had second half they were all convinced was a pen. And basically said exactly what you’ve said in this thread.
If you want to blame Cosgrove's sending off on an idiot not doing his job properly then that idiot is Cosgrove, not the ref.
Thanks to this board, I agree with the second yellow for kicking the ball away. Cosgrove has been carded twice with the new rules...first bad mouthing the ref, second time wasting...fair enough (I thought 2nd was for a foul) the idea is to clean the game up
Even when Kane scored he is walking with hands on back of head trying to think how he could disallow it
It was but not much and it gave them the same effect as a free kick, the shot could have been going over, wide or be cleared
