Yes third, with the top two forming a bigger gap between us & them. Plus looking down the league & the teams picking up points, we’re just going to start sliding down to mid table.
Of course we’re going to start to slide down the table if we fail to pick up more points than the teams below us. but so far we haven’t and that’s why we’re above them. And you would hope/imagine we will only get stronger. maybe we’ll slowly catch up to the teams above us. I don’t get why you would only focus on the negative possibility
You started a personal attack then act like a bairn when you get some back. But aye can tell you’re a pisshead.
Ok the arm is outstretched, a bit more than it should have been maybe. But its what happens naturally when your sliding in off balance like that. And didn't it also deflect onto the arm rather than hit it directly ?. An appalling decision to be honest, which I'm not sure would have been given to us if it were at the other end.
Absolutely it would not have been given in our favour we have had clearer ones turned down in recent games. Incorrect decision anyway ball deflected up off his knee and I thought that means it’s not a pen
Norwood got 11 last season which isn't great in a side that was top 6. But do I think anyone bar Cole will get that this season? No. Watters must either be great in training or have some pictures on Collins god knows how he keeps getting starts
Apart from the pen anyway, do fans think we deserved the point. No more than that maybe, but an acceptable point at least and a fight back after going behind. A work in progress still, but we're in a good position in the table.
We need Cole to start scoring again tbf. He's regressed to what would be expected regarding his XG levels for someone of his ability - hopefully he can get on another streak.
He/Cole was never going to keep up that good record he started with, and this admittedly is a frustrating time for him again. Getting little or no service sometimes must be annoying for any striker. But he's a confidence player as well and when he's got none, it really shows.
I’m 100% sure it wouldn’t have been given for us. We’ve had countless similar claims in the last couple of years. I’ve stopped even shouting for them at games.
Both Cole and Watters are useless at holding/building play up, and benefit from having it laid on a plate for them. Then they're good. To play both together is silly. It's either one or the other. Play someone along side, who can create the space for one or the other of them... either Cosgrove or Macca T can lay it on for whichever one is picked.
Its been said in this thread that Watters does work hard and this often goes unnoticed, and I think that's fair enough. But surely he himself would also admit that scoring goals is what he was signed for. Before the sending off today, I wonder if Cosgrove had got anywhere nearer to starting a few games, ahead of Watters.
Need more than Cole to start scoring goals can't just rely on one player. But I'm not holding out much hope for watters and we create very little.
Its difficult to see what Collins thinks Watters brings to the party' he must be doing summat in training or Cosgrove must be doing nothing to warrant a place in the starting lineup.
Another game, another slide down to midtable Third in the League, 2 points off second. Top scorers in the League. Even if you don't count the SEVEN we got against Port Vale, which many of your kindred spirits like to do, there are only 2 teams who have scored more than us. Best goal difference. Only 3 teams have conceded fewer. But you crack on.
