Would everyone agree that his long term future will be him playing centre back?

No. When Lopata is back he will go back wide replacing Keefe/Cotter.

Even though he has played 14 times at centre back?

Lopata has been one of our best players this season, so for me would be back in alongside Gevigney and McAtee. Then you'd have Williams back on the opposite flank to Cadden.

With that defence, Roberts back in goal and a fully fit Connell next to Styles, we should be looking to win the league.

I really rated him at wing back last season and on the whole had a good season. Not sure he's better at center back but he's not done much wrong this season.

His long term future is likely with Luton isn't it, particularly given his contract expires in eight months?

No. He sees himself as a Full back. And I agree. We have more than enough Centre halves when all fit imo.

You seem very confident on this but pretty sure Collins has said Williams is our CB man. It will be very slow if lopata swaps with him our back 3. Williams does hell of a lot of recovery runs, not sure lopata will be able to do that. Ill be surprised if Collins does immediately change them, especially if decent form and clean sheets from open play continue. We haven't conceded from open play in 5 games now I think Doug Okane said, big risk changing that even though Cotter and Okeeffe aren't in form

His best days have been at right back. He gets forward so well and creates so many opportunities when he’s in that final third. He can get away with being in a back three in this league but he’d get torn apart in the league above whereas he can compete with anyone at full back….on his day.

Collins has said so, however I do prefer him at wing back. Both Cotter and O'Keeffe have been inconsistent, so he might get a shot there when Lopata is back. I actually think out best back 3 consists of Mael, Lopata and maybe McCart just edging Shepherd.

Yes. He’s a good league one wingback but I think he’s played his best football in a 3. This season he’s been sound, but he was also consistently good in the role in the Struber / Project Restart / Great Escape days.

You need someone with pace in a 3. A line of McCart, Lopata and De Givigny would terrify me in that regard.

He didn't get torn apart playing there for Struber in the Championship. Far from it.

I agree he's a better full back though. Whilst I'd love it to be for Barnsley, I strongly suspect he'll be off next summer.

According to a very vague article in the Chronicle, contract talks are ongoing.

I reckon we need O’Keefe to hit some form so that Jordan can stay in the back 3 and utilise his pace

Depends in what division, I can't really see him been a good enough championship centre back and I don't think he will offer enough at wing back against championship opposition.

I thought Jordan had been sold? Definitely going last January and the January before according to the BBS.

Been shoe horned into center back should be playing his natural position of wing back.

Even if we are promoted I would be amazed if we didn't lose Cole and Williams next summer for absolutely nothing.
