Enjoyed todays match. Their first goal came from a deflection which landed at the feet of their player 2 yards out. MDG could have possibly cleared it before that though. Second goal was a beauty and you can’t complain with that. I thought they’d put all their men behind ball for second half but fair play to them they didn’t. Fair point all round.
I'll take the draw...imho decent game...I thought Kane was very good and our best player, french kid great again too. We had enough chances to win two games today but finishing poor. Fair play to Fleetwood ...they were more than ok and obviously done their homework. I don't want to be too critical but there were a couple of poor performances, individually but it is a team game and we should try learn from this, some of Caddens crosses were bang on the money...just a shame we couldn't apply the finish. Can't wait to get our full compliment out there....doing well to be in play offs. Overall, enjoyed the match.
Lively game. Very entertaining and enjoyable. Finishing was awful today - perhaps on another day it might have been a different story. We emphasise attacks down the flanks and crosses (when Baz isn't blasting them at the nearest opponent in front of him) but never seem to have anyone near post to make something out of it. So many attacks are thus wasted. Is Collins getting the best out of these players? And is there more to come? Not sure.
At the moment no. He's turned a midfielder who had the best stats in the division for a midfielder last season, into a shadow of his former self. And I find the football dull.
Decent game today between two limited sides, need to see the first goal again but it looked to me like Russell lost concentration and just let them in without a challenge. He knocked the ball about quite well but needs to use his size and impose himself on games more. I thought Cotter was poor today and Phillips wasn’t at it either but both kept trying and didn’t give up we are in need of someone with a bit of pace who can carry the ball. Firstly to get the crowd a bit excited but also to push us forward we make so many sideways passes and take very few risks with forward runs. Cadden usually does this well and tried today but was well marshalled by the Fleetwood defence. Herbie played well apart from his bizarre cutting inside and outside moment where he lost the ball, he wants to nick that man of the match award from Macatee imo Frustrating game but can’t fault anyone’s effort today, just didn’t quite come off.
Best match I have seen all season so far. Some sloppy passing and bad decision making, but very entertaining all the same. Should have won.
Came away feeling a little frustrated and relieved. Relieved because with all the second half possession and forays into their box, I just thought it was going to be one of them days. Frustrated because we often lacked the quality when it mattered, be it a cross or a shot. The cross and goal for our second were sublime though. Happy with the effort, players kept on keeping on. Thought ref had a poor one today, that arm in the face on Mcart was ridiculous and to go unpunished was inexcusable, both assistant and ref had a good view of it
Agree with many others in that it was a very enjoyable and entertaining game. We lacked a bit of quality at times but can't fault the effort and on another day, when they don't score a worldie, we win. Credit to Fleetwood, they contributed to the entertainment value today and look much better than their league position suggests. On the basis of today, they won't finish anywhere near the bottom 4. Notice how, when the entertainment value ramps up, the crowd respond. Best atmosphere for quite some time.
Can't see how a manager can be held responsible for a footballer playing badly. Not that this is the case with Phillips anyway. Phillips wasn't that overly fantastic last season, and he isn't that overly terrible this.

I absolutely respect your opinion, and perhaps he wasn’t the worst performer, but that’s not my point. He simply cannot pass accurately, which is something of a problem for a midfield player. If he relocates his shooting boots he’s at least worth a place on the bench. But, at the moment, he’s in The Wax Matters WTF category as far as I’m concerned.
Apologies, I haven't read the whole thread but I make it that Kane's suspended for the game at Derby now?
Just seen their free kick. An absolute stonker. Don't think I've seen one hit with such pace over a wall and into the top corner.
