Hat trick in 8 second half goals for Bayern. I know people will say he should score goals there like, but he’s bangin’ em in.

Just seen the one from his own half too. Class.

Glad he’s doing well over there. Bellingham excelling at Madrid too. I wonder if it will spur a few more English players to go abroad? Probably not but still nice to see them going well.

That goal from his own half is crackers. Even without a keeper in the net, that technique is unreal.

Just seen it and what a goal, he must be brimming with confidence and hopefully bodes well for the Euros next summer.

Agree. He’s always had great technique with his goal scoring, assisting and link up play.

Could easily see him spending a few seasons at Bayern, winning 5+ trophies and then coming back to the premier league to break Shearer’s premier league record.

Our illustrious, England hating media will no doubt put paid to that, don't worry

I don't think so mate. Usually I'd agree with you, but there seems to be a serious love-in with Kane. Rightly so to be fair, exceptional player - but the defence he gets when he misses a big penalty or has a bad game is enormous. Don't think the media will ever go against him, like they have with Stones in the past & Maguire now etc.

They'll be undercover reporters monitoring Bellingham as we speak, breaking story just before the Euros, brothels, Grannies, drinking, gambling - they'll be looking for something. If they can't get anything they'll be paying the locals again to lob bottles at England fans, they'll get a story then

I can remember Trevor Ayllot getting one similar for us down at the well but I can’t remember who we were playing at the time. Perhaps @JLWBigLil might recall it?
My memory was that he received the ball with his back to goal just inside our half and turned and lobbed it towards the opposition goal. My instant reaction was not a complimentary one which was rapidly replaced by one of complete shock having never seen anything like it previously. Needless to say have not seen anything since until now.

Pretty sure Steve Cooper scored one from absolutely miles out in a 3-0 win against Sunderland in 89. Don't think any footage exists unfortunately.

Do you mean the goal he scored against Brighton in the League Cup, Autumn 1981?

It might well be, unfortunately I do not have the detailed recall of games that you enjoy. If it wasn’t for Trevs goal it would just be another one of many long forgotten games.

I’ve just found a video of that game and whilst it’s not just how the old grey cells remember it you may well be right. I’ve always remembered that Mick McCarthy thunderous header but not that that it was in the same game.

The one that, as the years went by, got further and further away from goal to the point where some were claiming he hit it from the Ponty End Car Park. It's often been repeated that it was near to or on the halfway line. And then the highlights were posted on Youtube...

It was a great goal, but it wasn't actually that far out of the penalty area, albeit near the corner of the box. Strange how that goal has taken on a life of it's own.

Being only a nip at the time and stood near the front of The Ponty right by the goal, and as Aylott's was at the Kop end, it's McCarthy's header that I remember the most about that match. He seemed to head it harder than most players could kick it.
