Well it was never going to be a marriage made in heaven. Lasted just about as long as I expected. Rumoured a couple of times that we were interested in him. If so I’m glad it never happened.
Ainsworth to the Blunts next. Btw don't their fans dislike him for a bad tackle once, when I think he was at Wimbledon ?. It just never worked for him at Qpr did it, and he only just managed to keep them up last season. He'll get a Lg One club again soon though, maybe Wigan or Reading after yet more sackings lol.
He ended the career of fans' favourite Dane Whitehouse with a nasty foul whilst playing for Port Vale.
Ahh I knew he'd done it to somebody, and with some team lol. Some Burnley fans are like that when I chat to them, and the subject of Norman Hunter comes up. Apparently he did the same to one of their players, he ended Frank Casper's career.
Not really surprising to be honest. No doubt a league 1 club will pick him up. Have Brizzle Rovers replaced Joey yet?
I'm a bit sorry for him. He loved the club and left a job for life to take it. Then he's sacked. He's got a family to provide for. Granted with more luxuries than most BBS posters. His life has just been turned upside down. Glen Hoddle was sacked at Spurs an told Daniel Levy if you want me i'm there. That's love.
Yep, it's a shame. Thought when he took it that it was a bit early and he should have got a few more years of management behind him. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to manage a club that you love, and I'd want to be ready. I'm sure he'll be back though. Definitely done enough to walk into a job in League 1 or at the bottom of the Championship.
Yeah he's hardly done bad out of it, because won't he get a pay off for a start ?. Then he can forget it and pretend it never happened, and walk into another job soon. While the team he's just left in a bad way, have to carry on and pick up the pieces. It happens every time, so I can't feel sorry for him.
Few didn't seem as bothered when Poya & Schopp got the axe old mate On a serious note, he's a decent manager with a decent record. He will have a solid managerial career in league 1/league 2 level, probably have a couple of more opportunities eventually in the championship. Good luck to him. With the right man, QPR could get out of trouble. They've got a good enough squad to, perhaps a lack of fire power however. But certainly (when all fit, not sure if any are injured) have a strong enough midfield & defence for certain.
Being second best when you're the best candidate is the biggest, most soul destroying feeling in the world. The worst feeling is getting on with it.
