I'd rather play guys based on form and ability rather than a need for minutes. 3 of our next 4 league games are against teams in the top 10. Horsham would be another chance for the current lads to gel before a tough run (by division 3 standards).
But if we get a big injury in the next month and none of our subs are up to speed or match fit etc it's also a problem. Other than Jalo, they're all first teamers for us, it's not as though we're being disrespectful or not taking it seriously with those changes bud.
We made changes against Tranmere and it didn't pay off. We need a cup run being skint. Can't play off ifs as they may not happen. Maybe play the usual lot and if we are 3 up at half time make lots of changes.
We played our full strength squad against many teams and lost though? Weren't not skint enough after bringing in 8/9/10 million to risk playing the same players every 3/4 days. We need to utilise our squad, we weren't great yesterday so it'll give fringe players, especially players like Cosgrove & Benson a chance to perform for us. I could understand your point of view if I had said Flavell, Dyer, Jalo, Yoganathan, Nathan James etc. But these lot are first team players.
