Interestingly, it appears Horsham have sold one block and are onto a second. So I can see them bringing somewhere between 700-1200. I'd held off getting a ticket to see if the Ponte would open, but it's not looking likely at this rate.
The whole stand holds what, 7.5k? I’m guessing the lower tier holds slightly more than the upper though it looks relatively equal; the lower tier might hold 4k tops. The last section at the north end won’t be on sale. From the rest, without counting dots, how many have actually been sold? A thousand maybe? Might this be our lowest crowd for a competitive game, at least in recent history? If Horsham bring 1000 or more they may outnumber us. I say ‘us’, I’m not coming. I probably would if it was the Saturday.
Yeah I was being generous - I don’t suspect we’ll sell many more either but some will rock up on the night I’d imagine
this is ripe for a cup upset! one teams biggest game ever other club treating it like an inconvenience I for one won't be shocked if we get knocked out !
Same here. Just a lack of thought gone into the whole process. Clumsy, awkward, poor. If the Club wanted to boost the number of home fans there are any amount of initiatives they could have used. One would have been to award points for future away tickets - in the same way they do for away game attendance. I think the whole way in which we've handled this, and the dreadful communication, just leaves a sour taste - for home and away fans.
I'd say lower tier holds 3.5k at a guess. Reckon if you put all those dots together we've sold roughly half it's capacity. I'll stick with my prediction of 2k home fans. Embarrassing really and a massive own goal by the club. If they'd opened the whole stand I think we'd have sold double.
We will do same as the league cup when we got knocked out play bench warmers and youngans great for the them no good for a cup run
We had a few crowds below 2,000 in the 1960s and 1970s but without checking the records I couldn't say which was the lowest. This could well be a sub-3000 gate, unless there is a surge of interest in the next three days. I doubt if I will make the 100-mile round trip.
The back row in the lower tier is Row R, which is 18 rows. The Upper Tier has at least 28 rows (if not 30 rows), it's much bigger. There's something like 180 seats, so that makes the lower tier 3, 240 seats minus the gaps for steps etc
