The Manchester derby is massively important to me, and just to show you what I mean. er. where you going on yer holibobs?
I wasn't a fan of Gary Neville as a player but I have the utmost respect for his punditry and his political persuasion. Why can't someone who's got a few quid have socialist beliefs? I'd argue that those people are the best kind of socialist as they don't necessarily have to concern themselves with the plight of those less well off.
100% I didn't like the bloke yet I never knew him. but since his retirement I like his honesty . I know which I prefer between him and the scouser.
I think Gary Neville is a brilliant bloke who - from afar - hasn't forgot his roots despite unbelievable success. His desire to invest back into Greater Manchester is something we should all applaud IMHO - easy to chuck champagne socialist about but he's doing plenty for many.
I've just seen that, absolutely devastating. We're going just down the coast from Cancun, so a good 1100 miles away.
Remember when Neville was sent off at Oakwell in a Lg cup game, for a dangerous high tackle. And their commentator was ridiculously biased, saying he won/got the ball (despite following through onto our player with his studs!).
