A week or so ago, coming up from Haigh I got to the crossroads at the top as per. Looked to the left and saw a sign saying "no through road" and "Diversion". Was turning right anyway to go to Staincross and thought there'd be nothing coming out from my left because of the signage. Started to pull out and go right when a van came hurtling out of the supposedly blocked off road to my left and shot off to Staincross. Upon reflection I suppose "no though road" was accurate but my assumption was that it was a "no through road" for both ways. Any views on that?
You’re wrong ,I drive through the back roads at 6.30 0n a morning and 6 at night I deliberately drive through the back roads because the traffic is light I,m lucky if I see 3 cars.i avoid driving through Royston and staincross for that reason I go through Notton and it’s dead the problems are on Woolley edge road.
Ok you’re right but you’re just travelling in a car I live round here and out walking at that time its busy
Where about do you live, just going on what I see. No matter where you live there are always going to be crackpots that drive as if they are on a racetrack. I just think it is punishing everybody that drives with to the speed limit and rules of the road.
No the van driver was just going on his way through the crossroads as you'd always do. He was on the main road, coming along from my left, from behind signs that said "no through road". I just think that where a crossroads has been the same layout for ever, then if you change it and just say "no through road", you ought to be warned that there's still traffic coming at you even though you can't go down that way any more.
It needed traffic lights that would have solved the problem the number of times I,ve been driving to them crossroads and someone’s pulled out on me it’s a death trap probably even worse now.
