    She's a fůcking demon.

The biggest joke of it all being that they caused the massive uptick in homelessness with their lockdowns. Nothing to do with immigration.

Between October to December 2021, 64,890 households were initially assessed as homeless or threatened with homelessness and
owed a statutory homelessness duty. This number was 34,010 for the same period in 2019.

A disgrace. And the fact that they now seek to vilify those people, rather than try and help extricate them from the mess this Government (and its opposition, it has to be said) has put them under the laughable guise of keeping people safe shows you what sort of people they are.

    A 'lifestyle choice' indeed.

Not in its entirety. In the majority yes of course. There are 20 Tory MPs for constituencies outside England. We can only hope they are all lost, along with the ‘borrowed’ seats in the English red wall.

A heck of a lot of rural Wales is Tory at the present time. 13 of 40 welsh seats are blue.

Scotland too. There’s plenty of true blue voters in Edinburgh for example and there are 7 Tory mp’s north of the border; they make up nearly a quarter of the Scottish parliament too.

Cruella’s particular brand of xenophobic cruelty will be attractive to some of the cerebrally challenged in the working class urban areas too. Let’s be honest, it was good old fashioned prejudice that won the brexit vote in our areas and those like them - so there’s form for backing that approach. In fact if Sunak was replaced by Braverman now I predict they’d get a considerably higher vote share, even if still losing the next GE.

Last figures I saw, there are around 300,000 *homeless* people in the UK - and 120,000 of them are kids. The majority are either sofa surfing, crashing with a friend or put up by their local authority in temporary accommodation until social housing becomes available. This is a direct consequence of the sale of social housing since the 80s and is costing us far more than replacing it would have done.

Roughly 1% - around 3,000 are rough sleeping - and among those giving the rough sleepers tents include charities and the home office - this is for successful asylum seekers and those released from prison without a place to go.

    She’s excelled herself again, t’old Sue-Ellen hasn’t she?

Attacking the met now. Public accusations of favouritism. She’s the flaming Home Secretary! Shes in overall charge of law enforcement - you can’t attack the biggest police force in the country.

She’s very calculatingly trying to get sacked to increase her profile. It’s just a game to her now.

And of course nobody in the media has mentioned that her husband is an Israeli Jew, with strong family links to the IDF…she’s clearly impartial herself…

Of course Rishi’s response is to issue full backing. Absolute disgrace.

Sunak stuffed himself when he accepted her poison chalice in order to get the backing of enough MPs to get into No 10 a year ago. It was only a matter of time.

Yep, she's just going to gradually crank up the rhetoric and watch Rishi squirm.

Of course, Rishi could both sack her and remove the whip from her. Which would scupper her ambitions. But he's gutless.

And its amazing how the pro-Palestine march is getting her wrath, but not the famously not antisemitic National Front - who are marching to the actually f*cking Cenotaph on Sunday.

I don't think he is squirming. I think he's happy with it all - but of course he can't say what she does publicly.

I can’t make my mind up about her.
She is either one of those people who thrive on notoriety or she is deliberately pushing Sunak to sack her, therefore making her a martyr to the far right and in position to launch a leadership bid ( God help us) when the Tories lose the next election and there will be a push to go back to ‘traditional’ Tory policies!

This morning should be interesting. According to Chris Philp (stood in to respond to Yvette Cooper's urgent question yesterday) Braverman was accompanying a 'close relative' who was due to have an operation. So she wasn't around to sack, and the optics would not have looked good. Difficult to see how Sunak can avoid wielding the axe this morning though. He is already justifiably taunted by Keir each week for his weakness. This is a clear affront to his authority. Furthermore, there is reportedly very widespread unrest in the Tory ranks - even though nutjobs like Anderson are still voicing support. Hard to see how Rich Rish! can tolerate her inside the tent pi55ing in much longer! :D

Lovely to wake up to news that Rishi might be sacking her. Daily Star yet again nailing it with their front page.
