The only fight that should be encouraged today would be one between all made up imaginary sky gods in an imaginary cage using imaginary flat fish as imaginary weapons.
Fact remains the land is only 'shared' because Israel has illegally taken it and holds it by the imbalance of power, both military and political. It's like me building a house in your back garden, holding a gun to your head, and saying how kind I am to let you live there.
Violent clashes broke out, with protesters chanting: “You’re not English any more” towards officers. Police managed to disperse the crowd, splitting them into two smaller groups. The protesters were last seen running through Chinatown in the direction of Piccadilly Circus.
Outbreaks of disorder marred Armistice Day as hundreds of football fans and members of the far right gathered by the Cenotaph on Whitehall. A number of them explicitly stated that they had come because of Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s comments over pro-Palestinian “hate marches” and that police treated them unfavourably compared to “politically correct minority groups.” Former EDL founder Tommy Robinson was among a number of far right figures present. In the build up to the two-minute silence elements of the crowd broke down metal gates to get closer to the Cenotaph. Later, dozens of those present could be seen - some holding Israeli flags - attempting to reach the pro-Palestinian march with the Met’s Territorial Support Group intercepting them.
Have Hamas actually requested a ceasefire, or made any concrete steps to return the hostages or anything? All I've seen is their leaders saying they'd commit their atrocities again given half a chance. Haven't seen any anti-Hamas placards at the march either.
So the pro-Palestinian march, which was never going anywhere near the Cenotaph, were banned from it, but the far-right goon squad one, which was always going to be there, was allowed because there "wouldnt be any trouble because their intention is to protect the cenotaph". Well, that went well.
Yes i agree' they are marching for peace' our fallen heroes sacrificed their lives to rid the world of facists and tyrants like Hitler' sadaam hussain and Gaddafi and with the Genocide happening in Gaza i would put Netinyahu in that bracket.as for guarding the cenotaph the march was never going anywhere near it and the only reason the far right are there is because Braverman has played politics with the situation and inflamed it massively.
I'm sure they should. Just as Israel should return the thousands of Palestinians held in Israeli jails for the past few years, many of them kids. I'm also sure Israeli government doesn't care that much, otherwise they wouldn't be pulverising 10k dead Palestinians and putting their lives at risk. They could of course have not funded Hamas in the first place, or stolen land that isn't theirs. Hamas is the poison fruit grown by an illegal Israeli occupation. Unpalatable as that is for many, it's the truth.
I hope the chief of the met calls out Braverman at the end of the day and tells the media that she, the home secretary, is responsible for disorder and disrespect on remembrance day. Hopefully he's got the balls to do that.
They’ve been busy blocking their own citizens from escaping south away from the conflict by indiscriminately shooting them- they need their human shields - a war crime of course.
It's all easy to comment on whatever is happening on the other side of the world from here. They are both as bad as each other. People are supporting hamas after horrible attacks on women and children because Israel are just as bad. It's ****** up. It's sad for the innocent people of all dies over there
Very few people support Hamas. Very many people support ordinary Palestinians against living under the apartheid regime of Israel and the the genocide they have unleashed.
Are you aware that 10000 Palestinians fought for Britain in WW11 against the Nazis. Many also gave the ultimate sacrifice.
