What has the back wall and a hole in the floor got to do with someone sitting in your seat? Anyway, he's going and good riddance. Time to draw a line under his constant gaffes.
All well and good people saying this is good news like, but we don’t know who’s next. I wouldn’t just assume they’re going to be an improvement. Just like we can only attract Division 3 players, I imagine we’ll only be able to attract Division 3 CEOs as well.
That's not the point - if not all the stand is safe, it makes sense to move everyone that has to be in there or a small number of people that are more trusted, into a small section. Odds are other peoples seats are going to be in that section... Doesn't mean it was safe to open the stand. It's not amazing optics, but it makes sense to me
So we've decided that the hole in the floor was the reason it was closed then and all the other ones were fake reasons? Or do we believe the club when they say the wall was unsafe solely for people holding a ticket that says west stand ?
What difference does that make. It’s safe or it’s not for anyone. End of story. Got to be up there with the most stupid posts I’ve ever read and I’m guilty of the same mistake.
I’m partly guessing ceo wages not offered on championship terms when we spoke about his contract but he’s part of that failing too.
Dunno mate, guess we’ll have to see. There will definitely be worse CEOs out there, and whoever it is that we bring in, they will almost definitely make decisions that we don’t like.
It’s not though. As i said earlier, the temporary bridge over the railway is safe for normal usage but not for the amount of people there on match days, hence why it’s closed. A lift is safe for 10 people for example, but if you cram 100 people in it wouldn’t be safe. There are loads of reasons it could be safe for 100 people but not 3,000 people. A broken wall or hole in the floor could easily be one of them. With less people you can cordon things off and direct people away from those areas, especially when it’s people there to work at the game and not fans.
Glad he is going. Came over as Mrs Nice guy but made some real **** ups Positives. Got half decent price but still sold players... Chicken flat breads(really?) Negatives West Stand fiasco/HEX /Fanatic shirts fiasco/Get behind the lads(providing you sit down!) Big news coming? Norwood exit etc. Now many fans dont trust the club when being told something---is it really a wonder why?
Didn’t Khaled fess up and say he’d got the closing wrong ? I might have imagined it but the communication around it at the time were dogger
No. He maintained that the decision to close it was correct based on the 5 or 6 completely unrelated reasons that he kept alternating between but admitted his communication wasn't good enough.
But the wall wasn't cordoned off. Members of the public could literally stand on grove Street and lean against the structurally unsafe wall throughout the west stand closure. People with tickets in the Ponty end entered the stand via turnstiles in the structurally unsafe wall. It was just people who's ticket said west stand on it who were at risk apparently which as we all know is just ********.
