I have no idea what the reason for the closure was, that’s not my point. My only point is there’s loads of reasons why a stand could be safe for 100 people but not safe for 2,000 people or whatever the capacity is, so using “but executives and journalists were in there” is a silly thing to say.
Yes that's the least of the reasons but I think for many when it's added to all the other reasons for thinking it was lies such as the council saying it was untrue, the inspection report saying it was untrue, freedom of information requests saying it was untrue, the ever changing stories, the lack f any visible remedial work and the redeployment of stewards to the away end to sell more tickets there that little things like seeing people sitting in your seat it's the straw that breaks the camels back for people to call ******** on it
Forgot about that yeah stewards were moved to accommodate bigger away followings, I recall at the time they couldn’t recruit stewards on the back of Covid and that’s another reason I never got the unsafe bit, that and nothing has ever been seen or said as to what was unsafe.
The council only asked a very simple question of the club which was can you confirm what information you had 4 years ago when the stand had work done on it.
