Last night. Was surprised how easy it is when facing a bowling machine. However, I was done by the slower ball a few times when the ball just sat up.
I'm a bit stiff this morning. My bat has white marks on it so it has had a good work out. Joking aside. Those white marks. Does it mean my bat has dried out over the years. The middle sounded decent but I was astonished by the wear those bowling machine balls had caused to the bat face. Do I need a new bat?
Brother in law wants to pay for us to have net sessions once a month to keep our eye in before South Kirkby net sessions start in January.
No you'll be fine. Those bowling machine balls leave a white mark rather than red from standard cricket balls. If you see any footage of pros on bowling machines, then they have the same colours. Our nets don't start till the new year thank christ, don't think I'll be getting the kit out of the garage till then.
Good to see you getting back into it. Not keen on the bowling machine personally but it’s better than nothing.
The thing that I didn't like was the crease wasn't marked up so was guessing how far to stand in front of the stumps and felt like I was fiddling about. I played some decent drives and mastered it pretty quickly.
