In the NHS now workers who test positive do not need to have time off unless it is effecting them and they are too ill to come in. Make of that what you will.

Do you realise that there is a big difference between when a virus is introduced and nobody has any natural immunity or immunisations for it let alone fully understands the long term effects, and when a virus has been in circulation for years?

Yeah I’m aware the missis is a nurse. But if you go into hospital with it you still get segregated and the nurses still mask up. Make of that what you will

Nobody will ever get their hands on the Golan Heights. It's the high ground that overlooks the Sea of Galilee, whoever controls the Golan Heights controls Israel's water supply.

It may be now but it wasn't for over 2 years when people were either killed by it or had their lives (possibly permanently) changed by the damage it caused to their bodies.

It's always been a virus, the people most at risk were the obese, elderly and people with underlying health issues same who are at risk with flu.
The way it was handled was a total farce remember the rule on going in to a restaurant or pub with a mask on the walking 20ft sitting down and taking the mask off wonder how many lives that saved.

Yes it was handled badly, I would imagine most people would agree with you on that. With regard to the virus, hindsight is great. Nobody knew how to deal with it.

Regardless, this is not meant to be a covid thread.

Can't argue with that, the constant changing of the rules, the ruthlessness of how people were punished for breaking them (see below), the "eat out to help spread the virus", pretending to "follow the science" when all they were really interested in was the economy, not to mention the PPE priority lane for their mates.

2 young women from near us in Ashby (Leicestershire) met up at a local reservoir with takeaway coffees; fined £10,000, Boris and Sunak fined £50 for multiple actual parties.

We (BBC) have spoken to Dr Adnan al-Bursh from the hospital, who says 200 bodies have been buried in the hospital grounds.

It took around 100 of the hospital’s medical team six hours to bury the 200 bodies. “We started off at 08:30 in the morning and finished around 15:00 local time,” he says.

Al-Bursh, head of the orthopaedic surgery department, says bodies “have been left for days until decomposed” and so medics were left with little choice but to make a mass grave.

He says they “were not able to open the windows in the buildings because of the bad smell coming out of the courtyard” - adding that around 120 dead bodies were out there, before being buried.

Another 80 were in the morgue, he says, with mostly women and children among the dead.

The Red Cross warned the medics to leave them due to safety fears from ongoing shelling, "but we took the responsibility [to bury them],” Al-Bursh says.

Seems the Israeli government are out to kill new terrorists after a revelation by Honest Reporting.

This organisation claims it’s devoted to fighting media disinformation about Israel and Zionism. They discovered that four of the biggest news organisations (Associated Press, Reuters, the New York Times and CNN) had prior knowledge Hamas’s deadly assault on Israel on 7 October.

The agencies strongly deny this but some don’t believe them…

Benny Gantz, a former defence minister who sits in Israel’s war cabinet said on “Journalists found to have known about the massacre, and [who] still chose to stand as idle bystanders while children were slaughtered, are no different than terrorists and should be treated as such.”

Danny Danon, a former Israeli ambassador to the UN, said Israel had a list of people it would “eliminate” for participating in the raid, and that journalists who recorded the assault would be “added to that list” “We will hunt them down together with the terrorists.”

They seem to overlook one thing. Gil Hoffman, HonestReporting’s executive director, has since admitted there was no evidence to back up the article’s suggestion.”

And so, disinformation from an organisation ‘fighting disinformation about Israel’ is taken as fact by Israeli politicians who are now promising death to journalists.
