What's happening with these 2?? I thought McCarthy was fit as played in papa John's etc cundy no idea, apologies if I've missed the obvious but we just seem really coy on injury updates etc. Haven't really seen that much of McCarthy to truly judge, cundy not the best but I'd rate over McCart.
I get the bit about players private lives being just that, etc ...... but once injured we never seem to hear a dicky bird on progress. Lopata - rib injury - few weeks out? McCarthy - on his way back then radio silence. Roberts - finger injury - few weeks out? Cundy - injured about 14 years ago and I'd forgotten he existed. Connell was obviously more of a personal thing and it was obvious we shouldn't pry 'too much'.
Spot on with that Andy, it gives the impression wrongly or rightly they aren't part of the managers plans and become forgotten entities, it's hardly top secret or giving the opposition a leg up keeping the fans updated on injury progress
