Both lads are absolutely desperate for a goal………both look devout of any confidence, both bog lads getting bullied week in week out!! Saturdays game is massive imo We need Roberts back too cos a don’t think this guy gives the lads in front of him much confidence if I’m been honest

Summat wrong. Start of last season if you'd have said look forward 12 months we'd be starting with Cosgrove and Watters we'd have creamed our knickers. Am desperate for them to come good. For us!
I agree on Cosgrove, but people keep saying this about Watters - "he's desperate for a goal". He scored at Cheltenham away on 2 September, then did the square root of nothing until squirming one under the keeper at Cambridge a full month later - then did nothing of note again until bagging against a 7th tier side, again, a full month later. He does need a goal, I agree. It's not going to make a jot of difference if and when he gets it though. The lad isn't short of confidence - he's just ****. Which says as much about Cosgrove, who hasn't even managed a goal yet.
And also the lads in front aren't great, so a recipe for disaster. And why Roberts was top of the 'made most saves stats' when here. Our defence has been shocking from day one... Pi55 poor recruitment..
I'm close to giving up with both of them I think they have the ability but not sure what's happening the style of football? Mr charismatics motivation? Can't be bothered? Just give jalo a run for me until January.
Sums up our recruitment plan, Watters wasn’t good enough last season, yet we sign him on full time, Cosgrove wasn’t wanted by Plymouth, plus he’s nowhere near the same type of player Norwood is, nor is he any better, give me Norwood any day!
Plenty of people on here thought Watters worth a punt at his age last season, given his decent ish record of other clubs in this league and below
Yes last season at the time we signed him he was definitely worth a punt, it just so transpired that he wasn’t quite at the standard of the other strikers picked in front of him. He didn’t do enough to warrant us signing in him permanently in the summer, other targets should have been identified.
The way our manager wants them to play a certain way playing out from the back is crap.Maybe if we played the type of football as last season where we were constantly pressing maybe these players would be better than what they are now.
