I have to say I just want this lot gone. I appreciate the bigger picture and of course there is the not so small matter of funding but we are just a laughing stock now.
The fact that the club says an “internal investigation” has taken place means 1 of 2 things. 1) The investigation was short and any remedial action is realistically pointless as it will have been rushed/not thought out fully. 2) They withheld info from fans for an extended period, leading to people spending money they otherwise wouldn’t have had to preparing for the Sutton game.
You alright Bri? I thought you were going to come out all guns blazing with "an easy mistake to make"
Didn't they know about the charge from last Friday at the least? That's when they informed Horsham anyway.
Wow. Not a lot to say that hasn't already been said. A new level of incompetent idiots are running our club.
The fact they knew since at least last Friday, as corroborated with the Horsham statement, means that anyone who has arranged travel and/or accommodation in the last five days has done so under unnecessary false pretence. The club is, I’m afraid, an absolute shambles. These things just can’t happen. It’s so basic, it really is.
On the brighter side, we will now be one of only two teams unbeaten in the FA Cup this season. The other will be the winners. On the darker side, this was an absolute amateur mistake - although not sure who made it before we cast aspersions everywhere in the club from the CEO to the ball boys.
My immediate reaction is; Unprofessional Unacceptable Laughable I'm also embarrassed right now, we are supposed to be a professional business....as someone suggested earlier.. this is up there (actually worse) than the sponsorship debacle. Good luck to Horsham though.
Horsham showing us up both on and off the pitch. Imagine all the **** ups and amateurism that we never get to see. No wonder Duff was off.
My word...not only are we a complete disjointed shambles on the pitch, but an even more of a shambles off of it. Sell up, sack Collins before you leave.
HEX West Stand SYP / First round Beevor Court Car Park That's just OFF the field. Still, at least this should help contract negotiations and renewals. They'll be so giddy to put pen to paper.
Amateurs and a disgrace for a professional club. No better than Chien and co. The fact these people kept Khaled on as CEO after so many f**k ups says it all. Shame on you people who defend every action of the club when it has been obvious they are absolutely inept from the early days. Running the club into the ground, clueless.
The CEO is the Accountable Officer and so has responsibility for ensuring there are adequate and effective processes, systems and personnel in place throughout the organisation and that there are adequate controls and assurances in operation. It may not be his job to read the FA Cup rules himself but it most certainly is his job to ensure that they have been read, applied and double-checked by persons who are competent to do so.
