This is truly the pits. Worse than the hex debacle, the west stand, everything. So, so embarrassingly sh.ite and tinpot. I honestly can’t believe it.
They do right. We all know what this board would be like, if it were them that had been kicked out. The Club and CEO deserve every shred of criticism coming their way. It's utterly shameful.
Some odd folk on this board begging to laughed at by other fanbases. Clubs make errors like this all the time. Clubs have poor CEO’s like us all the time. Have some pride in your club.
Well, us fans are in the main ignored. Maybe folk will sit up and listen when getting pelters from 50 or so other league clubs/fans
Clubs make errors like this all the time? Really? How many clubs have been kicked out of a competition in the last, say 20 years?
But the board aren’t being criticised in an effort to better the running of the club by other fans are they? We are because we want the best for the club. But sitting there going “Ooooo I hope everyone calls us useless” is neither constructive nor normal.
Chesterfield were kicked out of the FA Cup a few years ago, Bury were kicked out of the FA Cup for it. Rotherham we’re deducted points for fielding an ineligible player like 5 years ago. Clubs are regularly making administrative errors in the Football League and cup competitions. Is it poor? Of course it is, it shows a consistent lack of due diligence that seems to be pervasive throughout the club in recent years. But thinking that criticism from other fanbases is going to positively impact anything about the club is deranged.
You don’t have pride in the way we are run. No one’s saying being proud of being kicked out of a cup. You have pride in your football club by not sitting there in some sort of self-flagellating shame circle asking to be mocked.
One football league club has been kicked out of the “Proper Rounds” since 2006. Mainly because you can’t get kicked out of the league for admin errors you get a points deduction.
Only clubs don’t make errors like this all the time. Otherwise clubs would be thrown out of the cup etc ‘all the time’. As it is this is the second occasion a team has been thrown out of the cup in about a century or something. What have we got to be proud about at this moment in time? I will support the club and team probably for life - financially, vocally. But that also means I have the right to voice displeasure when things aren’t right. This isn’t just ‘not right’ - it’s an absolute shambles and an embarrassment. I honestly think you are in a small minority on this.
The last team were Bury, who, interestingly, had a Board who ran them into the ground and ultimately out of existence. Just saying.
