Maybe not - but I’m guessing you aren’t in the employ of a football club with a remit to make sure the club is following all areas of governance for the relative competitions? That rule wasn’t put in place this season by the way. It’s always been there so far as I know.
If it's any comfort, there's quite a lot of praise for how we've dealt with it in the comments on the BBC Sport page...
Just chatting to my brother who helped me remember "visa gate" too but I didn't think that was our present CEO. Can anyone confirm that the two Belgian lads were signed but were...injured....unfit....visa problems....rinse repeat two months? That situation made me pretty angry too, surely if it was the visa they would know how and when this was effective.
We aren't appealing the decision either. ( sorry if it's been mentioned earlier too many pages to read).
Not sure how and on what grounds we could appeal. We fielded an ineligible player and it was entirely down to us that he was selected.
A massive error. A massive loss financially for the club, given if we beat Sutton we were in the 3rd round with the big fish. If this was not the CEO's responsibility I'd like to know whose it was. TBH team performance on the pitch is my biggest worry, but this does not help one bit. We've seen poor administration all around the club under the current CEO. I'm glad he is ******* off. Sooner the better. Tomorrow would be ideal. Gardening leave.
But surely he still a registered barnsley player loaned to York, i always thought as long as he hadn't played in the competition for the team he was on loan to then he could technically play for barnsley in that competition.
Think he was registered to play for york in first round as he was on loan at time , so wasn’t eligible to play for us till second round
It is a schoolboy error, let's face it & one that has cost the club & the fans. I've no issues with the board, other than the minority stake holders, like Conway, etc. This is about management, plain & simple.
