No they don’t. And it doesn’t have a title sponsor. It’s called the premier league. That’s it. And the FA don’t run it. I don’t know how else to explain this to you. https://www.premierleague.com/about “The Premier League is the organising body of the Premier League with responsibility for the competition, its Rule Book and the centralised broadcast and other commercial rights.” It was initially called the FA Premier League, then the FA Premiership. FA hasn’t been part of the title for years and they aren’t directly involved in their governance and application of their rule book.
Most amateurish thing I’ve ever heard. Every administrator of every club in every level of football in the country knows the rules of the FA Cup. Somebody gets paid to administrate for us and somebody should be sacked. If I’d done this I’d sack missen. Tin pot? They don’t deserve a following like ours.
Simple issue is Barnsley FC is a Professional sports club run like a local pub team. Playing a player who is not eligible to play is the sort of thing the Dog and Duck do when half the team were out on the piss the night before a game and some haven't turned up for the match. A professional club should never be in the position we found ourselves in and I'm afraid the CEO should be clearing his desk tonight it happened on his watch and the buck stops with him.
Comments are nice, at least the rest of the league likes us https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67486563
Probably already posted, too many pages to look https://www.stockportcounty.com/chesterfield-fa-cup-tie-to-be-replayed/
They can't hide behind Conman with this. Clearly him and Lee weren't the only people that should have gone.
Just come in from work and seen this. I've got my head in my hands. Setting aside I've paid for the train tickets, the accommodation and a ticket in the home end to ensure I got one! I'm just appalled and embarrassed at the latest saga in the Jokewell story. It is just farcical and this is simply the latest embarrassment. Just shaking my head, more out of sadness than anger. I think we are a great and proud club and this is simply more humiliation. We deserve far better than this.
reading the comments, it seems that s Sunderland and Liverpool have both recently done this - in league and league cup games - and both only got fines.
undoubtably, however people were arguing that this isn’t a mistake that professional teams should make - but there are at least four examples from recent seasons. I doubt Liverpool or Sunderland would be thrown out of the FA Cup for making the same mistake.
