I didn't go tonight. My lad has swimming on a Tuesday night and he has to miss it when I go to the game. I couldn't be bothered to sit in freezing temperatures watching turgid backwards sideways football, the first time I have ever decided to miss a game just because I couldn't be bothered. I looked in the Sky Sports app before the winner went in and we had completed 413 passes for one shot at goal. This season smacks to me of a "style" of play being imposed to improve data for sales. It was what happened before post Ismail. I just can't believe that is anyone's preferred way to play.
If that’s the overall plan then the owners are in for a fùcking big shock at the next transfer window
4 of tonight’s starting 11 are in the last year of their contract. Another 2 are on loan. Their values are only going one way. I’m an even worse fan than the OP, I’ve barely seen a ball kicked this season. Everything I read suggests I haven’t missed much
We actually pressed more tonight than usual....Probably to try and warm up a bit. We still didn't press enough though. The crowd was so bad tonight they were too embarrassed to announce the attendance. It won't be the last time because people aren't going to sit in the cold to be bored over the winter months.
