There's a few devastated posters on here truly gutted that we've won - as evidenced in the MatchDay Thread.

3 points in a game that we controlled from start to finish - opposition barely created a chance. I'd love to see the XG of the game.

No issues with the goal. Their keeper jumps into Cosgrove then throws himself to the ground.

Back up to 7th now - games in hand on most of the sides above us. A bit of a gap till our next game - onwards and upwards.

    Reds.

We didn't have a shot on goal till Styles went off.

Sorry mate but you're way off mark there. I'll make a more detailed comment tomorrow if I can be arsed but basically the performance was awful, movement was awful, skill-set was awful. A wins a win but the win obscures how bad the team is as a unit. The team is crap. The league position is either taking the piss out of other teams or other teams are so pathetically dreadful that our awfulness looks ok

Guessing your eyes are painted on. Even the “Barnsley influenced” commentators absolutely slammed the performance. Glad we won but we didn’t really do much to deserve it.

FotMob has it as Reds 1.42 Wycombe 0.53, of which Cosgrove's goal counts for 0.84 xG.

First half xG was 0.16 vs 0.21, representing possibly the worst 45 minutes of football imaginable.

Love the positivity and I agree with most of your post, however, surely you have to be concerned that in the last few games we seem to lose direction for large periods of the game and lack creativity.

We didn’t really need to do much to this game though. Not excusing the performance but they were crap

We tend to look OK after we've taken Styles off. We could cut out the middle man and not start him.

Hungary should probably follow suit too. They were losing 1-0 in their last game before subbing him on 64 minutes. They scored 2 goals in the next 4 minutes and won 3-1. We were losing 1-0 at Lincoln until we subbed him on 66 minutes, then scored 2 goals in the next 6 minutes. And tonight's game was a total bore fest until we took him off, after which it only seemed a matter of time until we scored. Although when we did it was all a bit odd.

We were the only team that tried to win the game second half and deservedly did. We haven’t got the quality of player we had last season it’s that simple for me and we will do well to make top six

Been saying it for ages. Styles is the most overrated player we’ve ever had. One great season as a left wing back and a few bang average ones as a midfielder.

What both teams were poor, can you tell me when Wycombe had any foot hold on the game cos I must’ve been asleep for the bit
