Buttler claims a “ new beginning” as the first ODI starts tomorrow afternoon on BT / TNT Sports which is a ****** cos I haven’t got that channel !!!! Never mind as it’s also the first day of the Mosconi Cup on Sky Sports Arena … from Vegas
Thanks for the heads up. Love the Mosconi cup. Edit. just looked it up. says starts wednesday 6th. Finishes Sat 9th. All 6:30 pm start Sky sports arena at Alexander palace. ? Tomorrow is repeats of last years tournament. But as I say it gave me the heads up. Completely missed it one year. We are down in that there london over the weekend. (Reading game.) So dont mention the score mate. I'll hopefully get it on a catch up lol.
By the looks of it, cricket is dying in the West Indies, I'd be surprised if there's more than a thousand people in the stadium.
Not watched it, but looking at the scorecard, how the hell did Jacks not get a bowl? If Livingstone is getting through 10 overs and conceding less than a run a ball, surely you’d have the extra overs of spin rather than have Curran and Carse bowl all 10 of their overs?
I watched about 5 overs of the whole game when Crawley and Brook were batting and it seemed to be turning a fair amount at that stage, so I’m surprised to see Jacks didn’t get a go.
It doesn’t help when you have the same inept captain at the helm. I’ve said it for a long time, he’s useless, could not inspire a 5 year old to eat it’s breakfast, he is clueless but he does smile nicely when we lose, which is just about every match under him, instead of showing some grit. Get rid at the soonest opportunity. He’s doing to English cricket what Collins is doing to us. Taking it down…
Buttler should resign for the captaincy of ODI’s and T20’s and open the innings in both formats. He hasn’t batted above number 4 in the 50 over game but he averages about 50 in the 20 over game as opener. If he fails still, then rest / drop him.
With Stokes unlikely to play white ball at international level again, I think we're struggling to find much improvement on Buttler. Need to tempt Morgan to take the head coach gig.
Inadvertently it's the fault of Barmy Army. The locals just can't afford the prices England fans will pay. Windies cricket board profiteering that will eventually will kill the game over there.
Totally agree about Morgan. Also, we’ve too many players over 30 and only a handful of any youngsters with minimal experience. Harry Brook is a possibility do you reckon ?
