I really like Julie. I think she’s really doing her best for the club and brings a lot with her experience. I’m also proud our club has a woman in her position in a sport that’s still heavily dominated by men. That said, she seems extremely defensive tonight and I’m concerned it’s going to have the opposite effect and rub people the wrong way. I can probably guess why she’s feeling defensive, but it won’t help matters. We’re in desperate need of some positivity to give everybody a break and some breathing room.
She ALWAYS comes across as extremely negative towards fans for me sadly. Seems like a nice woman who cares and that's an extremely good quality to have from an owner but doesn't appear to know how to accept criticism without hitting out at the people criticising.
Is this a Match day thread, of the fans forum ?. So come on then what's the score, have we given away a pen yet, how bad is the ref, how many more want Collins out.. etc!.
Julie can't have missed Trustpilot where the vast majority of reviews for Fanatics are useless. We wouldn't have had anything need to be ironed out if kept in house, which had worked perfectly fine for decades.
Blimey. So the answer to the 10 million pound reinvested was basically "we only got that fee because we let them pay over an extended time" and we've only actually got 1 million in from those transfers so far. That is actually fantastic news for them from a financial and business point of view because they have this sustained money coming in for the next few years, but it's awful news for the team because we can't reinvest in the 10 million hole we have in defence.
Not true. Don't forget that for every transfer out of the club that is paid in installments surely the incoming transfers also are.
Kind of glad I'm not there this evening now. I'm finding it quite uncomfortable viewing so far, much more so than previous events of this kind. Not sure if it's the same vibe in the room, but it feels much more accusatory in nature. I think part of the issue is that JAQ and Neerav are bearing the brunt of questions that were really the remit of the outgoing CEO, and Collins is sitting there while largely operational questions are being asked to them. Credit to them all for fronting up to it, and trying to answer things openly.
Poor we've agreed to such a thing. Especially with regards to Kitching, when Coventry have brought in enough millions to be able to pay in full straight away. If we end up with a million a year off them for four years that would be poor.
That's what would happen at a sensible club, but we'll say we've got 1 million so far so that is our budget.
These guys aren't the answer, absolutely zero regard for the fans of this club...... They need to follow Khaled out the door.
She respond to criticism by saying “what would you do? Im interested to know what you would do” No Julie we need to know what you are going to do! Very defensive.
JAQ, throwing back as a defence " well what would you do?" No. We are not paid directors of a FL club, we expect you to get it right, preferably before numerous errors are made.
