I've spoken one on one with both of them previously, and I have a lot of time for them. People easily forget about the financial investment they've made. It's a tortuous watch, to be fair. Most of these questions relate to Khaled's failures in-role, as I see it, for which his departure has allowed him to avoid, and there's literally no-one else to answer them at this point. The new CEO will be judged on how he performs, but he can only learn from what's gone before. Timing-wise, this Q&A has fallen in the middle of a power vacuum, and JAQ and Neerav are taking the flak, much of which isn't necessarily justified. Best question so far has been Gally's second one, pointing out the lack of communication compounding issues around fanatics, etc. That's an area that can and should be addressed as a priority by the newcomer.
It feels like JAQ and Neerav are fronting up for a lot of Khaled’s mistakes. Remember, this is the guy who made 99% of the decisions. At the break it’s like an image of a young John Dennis in a red tie.
Not if you do your homework beforehand like the fan Twitter account did about Hex and check Trustpilot.
I tuned in late - I presume that Collins was asked about style of football Vs improving the data? What was the response?
Had a quick scan through this thread. I'm almost glad my boiler central heating has packed up. much more fun.
Was slightly concerning that NC was to need to work out who the most committed players are. Almost as if he's still admitting he still doesn't know what's best right now.
Well my take so far is this fans forum needed to happen but with Khaled taking the brunt of the questions, and for the love of god next time can we do it without the audience, they can't be trusted to ask clear & concise questions ffs, its embarrasing! Really like Neerav, he's a smashing bloke & is clearly doing his best, he just needs a competent CEO, hopefully this new restructure will help. Neil is as dull as dishwater.
Maybe because she gets dog's abuse daily on Twitter/X . Too many Barnsley trolls about on that platform
I think Neerav is coming across pretty well too. His next appointment is huge though - he gets the DOF wrong and it doesn't matter how well he comes across.
Julie frustrates me. I'm so happy to have her at the club, she's modern, forward thinking and extremely energetic and enthusiastic. She's extremely friendly with supporters from what I've seen and heard and she clearly clearly cares. looking at her now during the interval she's laughing and joking with a supporter and answering questions with him. Yet aim any criticism in her direction and she comes across so condescending and antagonistic. I personally think this is because she's been so successful in business that she's never really faced criticism so doesn't know how to handle it and see that criticism of her mistakes professionally aren't necessarily criticism of her as a person. Is it naivety? Or is it simply an Australian matter of factness? I don't believe for one second that it's deliberate from her to try to alienate fans. I actually really like both her and Neerav to be honest. I don't rate their question answering but I like the people more than I have most previous people in their positions
I’m not there or watching it, so can’t really comment. However I’m slightly worried about what I’m hearing about JAQs vibe with the fans. Every time I’ve seen or heard her, she’s been nothing but positive and a huge advocate of the fans. I’d hate to think something has changed the way she views the relationship with fans.
I'm watching this on delay, so this happened about 20 minutes ago, but pretty sure JAQ said the fault of something or other was "c - u - n - t"
