    Get rid of him January.

I’d take any offer. He’s absolutely woeful! Gave ball away for the second goal and didn’t pick a pass all night. He’s more likely to end up in league two than the Prem.

I can't make my mind up if he can't be arsed or he's just not a good center midfielder. He looks weak, his range of passing is non existent, he doesn't tackle and doesn't press. Bringing nothing to the table at minute.

We won the lottery with Coventry giving us £4m for Kitching, albeit drip feeding it. Can't see us doing it again and getting more than 250k in Jan for Styles, no matter what his release fee is. Our best option is hang on till after the Euros, maybe he'll be arsed for that, widens the net for mebbe a Galatasaray, Ferencvaros or Cluj to come in for him?

Should be one of the best players in the division.

I can't say I've particularly noticed his attitude but he's been totally ineffective, stunning goal at Northampton aside. I don't know what he's playing at. Decent money and he can go for me.

If he carries on as he is doing he won't make the Euros squad.

He's utter rubbish. Most overrated player we've ever had.

You'd think so, but he's been this bad all season and Hungary keep picking him.

did you think he was decent as LWB under Val? I did.

he’s been appalling this season - he thinks he’s miles better than his talent, which is pretty dangerous

He plays like he’s going on the 1st January and doesn’t want to get injured

Genuinely, no I didn't. That's not to say he didn't do some good things, but on the whole, no.

It was during Covid. I used to watch the games, probably illegally at times, at my friend's who I'd watched games with for the previous ten years, but actually in stadia, not on TV. Different vibe in a house, when you're used to being surrounded by 15,000 people. We didn't succumb to the pressure of making idle chit-chat..

We don't slag players off. Or even talk to each other much. Styles would get motm reasonably often, and we'd just look at each other and collapse laughing. We're not the laughing sort, we don't like each other much.

Neither of us had said anything about him during the game, but he'd been literally ripped to pieces by the opposition. He'd then done one good pass or one good shot, and was subbed after 55 minutes. And he got motm. And it happened again. And again. And again.

He was played because we didn't have anyone else. Because Val, who is a genius as far as I'm concerned, looked at the squad he'd got and set it up in a way that negated all our weaknesses. A huge weakness was at left back, so he tried, and often succeeded, in stopping the opposition getting anywhere near that area of the pitch. When they did, they cut through Styles like he's made of jelly, which he is.

But that doesn't mean Styles doesn't have a bit of skill, a bit of technique. The way Val set us up put Styles in a lot of space, and a few times he used that skill he has to score or create a goal. Credit to him for that, he can do things with a football that I have often dreamt about, but have never got close to emulating. That doesn't make him a good player, it doesn't mean he played well. He did a few good things but his overall performances were really poor.

Our current manager just plays Styles as a normal player and expects him to perform as one. He can't, as this season illustrates immaculately.

All imho of course. Alternate points of view are undoubtedly more legitimate, but rarely so well argued.

To be fair we know Styles is a good player but just look how the the team are playing overall it just seems nobody can be bothered,we are playing crap it just seems Collins has lost the dressing room so we just can’t blame Styles for the way he is playing.

We know he's a good player? Based on what? 20 games at a championship club where a fee was agreed and they decided against it? I've seen nothing this season to suggest he's a good center midfielder and if he's as good as people make out that makes his performances this season even more shocking.

Your trying to blame Collins for him not putting effort in? I can blame Collins for alot but Styles not been bothered isn't one

The problem for me is that I think he is trying. It’s his passing, control & decision making that’s letting him down.

It’s not like he’s good on the ball but can’t be arsed to run.

I just don’t think he’s a good central midfielder & I’ve yet to see any evidence he is.

I think you could make that point about pretty much most of the team.

I do actually wonder, if the players are being bamboozled by whatever coaches are being taught in the UEFA badges etc.

After all, Valerian Ismail, called it out perfectly when he said players had to be given clear and concise instructions. And made to understand what exactly their role was.

Not every player can appear on Mastermind if they are thrown loads of information at them... It's probably too complex. And simple and effective tactics and instructions, generally might yield better results.

    Is my guess anyway
