https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67670679 https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.th...-resolution-calling-for-urgent-gaza-ceasefire Disgusting what's going on. Over 7000 kids in Palestine have been killed and here we are just letting the Israeli's get on with it. People starving,. struggling to get essential supplies into the main areas. When is someone or a country going to have a backbone and tell them to ******* stop.
No one will. We are ruled by the USA. Sleepy idiot Biden & the rest, who are worse. Bombs & guns rule the world. Peace comes at a price.
So Starmer is responsible for the death of babies in Gaza? Do you think that? Is that why you posted it? Or am I missing something (after 5 pints)?
No but perhaps he should grow a backbone and start condemning these atrocities they are committing. It's just sickening what they are doing and the western countries just stand back and do nowt. Someone needs to speak up and quite frankly Israel need putting in their place and pretty damn quick.
I don't think there's any morality in international politics mate in spite of the fact that international law is often used in pro and anti-comments and given lip-service. All about power play and geo political influence. Its utterly disgraceful as you say. I really do find the whole thing distressing.
I posted it because it's relevant. Not directly responsible no, but given his views and lack of speaking out he's morally complicit. I can only assume if he were in power he'd be acting no differently.
Both sides need a solution. Both sides need lambasting for their sheer stupidity, genocidal tendencies and masochistic stubbornness, which has been perpetrated over decades. What Israel's leaders are doing now is just disgusting, on a predictably bigger scale than those who broke out of Gaza to do their own disgusting version of inhumanity. There is no immediate solution, but those in charge are as bad as each other. One of those has better weapons. If the other had the same weapons though, Israel would be nuked immediately.
When Democrats and republicans BOTH 'earn' millions from bombs, guns, the lot, nothing will change. Its seemingly the only thing American politicians agree on... disgusting
I can't see why you posted that unless you want Starmer to be considered responsible for baby deaths. Anyway morally it seems he is. You've picked out him rather than anyone else. Nice one.
I don't have video of Sunak being challenged on a train, otherwise I surely would. If you think it's wrong to "pick" on the likely future PM then I'm not sure why it's an issue.
Why not first pick upon the innumerable others? The ones who could make a change? Starmer can't. Sunak can't either. Can't help in a **** show going back centuries into tribal differences involving those of Arabic and other descents. Everyone's stuck their nose in over the years. The Egyptians, the Ottomans, the Pope, the Crusades, the British Empire, the United Nations etc. . The present and perpetually unreasonable and unscrambleable scenario boils down to the intrangientcy of long hard boiled shorn of sense and sensitivity Jews/Israelis, and the adjacent equally as irrational sun stewed stuck in patriarchy Arabs. Have you heard their spokespeople? They savagely mourn their own dead. They blame the other side. They deny compromise. They're beyond Starmer helping them. Yet he's responsible for killing babies?
So Israel doesn't want a ceasefire. Hamas doesn't want a ceasefire. Hamas are still firing rockets despite the awful revenge being exacted on their people. And they are still holding civilian hostages which would appear to amount to a war crime (as does the civilian casualty rate resulting from the Israeli response). A ceasefire at this point leaves Hamas free to commit further atrocities on the scale of 7 October, and they have stated that is their aim, given the chance. Yet politicians should call for a ceasefire? How can a ceasefire be actioned that protects Israel from further attack upon their civilians? Will there be a peacekeeping force? Will the other nations of the middle east cheerfully accept and abide by this? There's some magical thinking going on here. But oh yes, Starmer is a bar steward!
We've been through this before, you seemingly ask similar questions, get answers before disappearing off only to return later and ask them again. Still, we'll try once more. Israel is illegally occupying Palestinian land and has been for over 50 years. They are the aggressors. If politicians would stop pandering to the far right in Israel and actually call them to task, and Netanyahu would have not funded Hamas as a bulwark to the PLO then Hamas would not be where they are today. Hamas didn't evolve in a vacuum. They are a product of Israeli occupation. As I said Starmer's views are not decisive, but relevant. He used to be a human rights lawyer, right?
