Anyone who thinks we will splash any cash in January is living in cloud cuckoo land

 

I'll take a point.

 

Kane showed great persistence by the corner flag to keep the ball in before sliding a great pass towards the arriving Phillips who found the top corner with aplomb with his weaker left foot.

 

Disappointing result, but fair. We just don't dominate enough home games. However, football seems of little importance after what has happened to Tom Lockyer, prespective and all that.

Exactly, won’t be happening therefore expect another season or two in league 1

 

Sadly we are a bang average side in a poor league. Cole isn't a good footballer but given service is a goal scorer but again were not playing to his strength. I favour
4-4-2 with McAtee playing as attacking mid, we need to pick a side and stick to it..

Williams,Lopata,Mael,Cadden
Kane, McAtee,Connell,Phillips
Cole, Cosgrove...
Were still in touch so plenty to play for.

 

We definitely need a leader or 2 added to the team in January. This is something we are sadly lacking and no one has stepped up since we lost the majority of our back line and Norwood

 

Jordan Williams shouldn’t be allowed to wear that shirt again. Whines and moans at everyone else when he gives away the ball, defensively inept, no heart, no soul. Take the armband off him and make him sit on the bench and sell him to anyone daft enough to pay money for him. Absolute disgrace of a captain.

 

It doesn't help Williams having a 'car crash' of a defender-O'keefe, playing in defence with him

Harsh....He is kind of his own worst enemy, simply because he thinks he can football his way out of stuff...the problem with that is he's not a footballer.
We need his pace back there...more importantly we need some proper defenders.

And yet if any neutral came on here to read some posts on here they would probably conclude our season is over , even with a transfer window looming!

It’s not harsh. He’s appalling. He’s meant to be the captain and I don’t think he’s ever in 5 years at the club had a smile on his face. He interviews worse than Kane and he has none of the on-field ability to back it up. He’s taken up a space in this team for far too long and after todays performance I’ll be glad if he never kicks a ball for us again.

 

I thought we played quite well second half , and were second best in the first. Strange game, a point was a fair result.

Thought the ref was excellent - played a lot of good advantages

 

We knew O’Keefe wasn’t great defensively when we signed him. At least he tries and he does positive things further up the pitch even if they don’t work. Williams is pathetic. Meant to be a Championship defender apparently according to someone, somewhere.

 

Lay off him you d—k, hes a full back playing out of position bcos we haven’t a quality centre half….and who gives a flying fu-k how he interviews, we need to sign a proper centre half and get Williams back to fullback

 

I do, because he’s the Captain, he’s meant to represent the club and he’s not looked interest about being here since he signed. It’s embarrassing. He’s been playing at CB on and off for 2 years now and he’s still rubbish at it. If he wants walk around, not try and then give the ball away, he can go do it for another team.

As posted above he’s the best right sided defender at the club in my opinion.

Yes, because he is. Cotter can’t defend, O’Keefe can’t defend, and I don’t think any of the other centre halves have played on the right this season. But being the best of an abysmal bunch isn’t much to right home about, especially considering he’s meant to be the captain and by his own standards a Championship player. That performance today from him was woeful and even when he was at right back he couldn’t defend. He won’t sign a new deal and he certainly isn’t captain material so why keep him past January.
