Nothing anti semitic about criticising Israel mate. Besides which, the people they are killing in Gaza are also semites. Not a lot of people know that.

A bloke called Jeremy corbyn told the world about the Israelis and their disgraceful treatment of the Palestinian people 10 years back and got destroyed for it.Don't know why Israel seems to have a hold over the western world but for countries like America to risk being labelled war criminals rather than upset them is bizarre.

 

Quite simple really, a lot of rich people in the USA are Jewish and in American politics money talks

When a particular stance or policy looks and feels strange, just follow the money. The answer lies there.

 

You're right and thats the reason Corbyn had to go' he couldn't be bought' you notice that Starmer has been given a very easy ride by the british press' thats because they know full well he can be moulded and manipulated into whatever they want him to be' Corbyn was far too much of a threat to them.

There’s plenty of evidence widely available. Donations over a certain amount have to be declared. The likes of Trevor Chinn run the Labour Party these days. Plenty of Red Tories have benefitted, Phillips, Lammy, Streeting, and of course our Lord and Saviour Sir Keith.

 

It was in the public domain a couple of weeks back that Starner and some of his front benchers were sponsored by Israel' don't know if its true or not but it would certainly explain why he was so against a ceasefire.

 

IIRC his wife is Jewish. Which could explain part of it - especially if she still has family in Israel.

 

This thread just illustrates exactly why we must get rid of first past the post and allow people to vote with their principles.

We must make it illegal for MPs or political parties to receive donations from anyone not a British citizen living in the UK. Then we might not see as many MPs in hock to foreign governments or individuals whose wishes are against those of the British people.

In other news, one of our MPs is under investigation for "causing significant damage to the reputation of Parliament". These two paragraphs may, or may not, be linked...

Its probably a combination of both. Whilst I agreed with many of his policies and positions, he wasn't a good enough politician to avoid the media traps and had too much baggage to make some criticism of him very easy. The policies themselves were popular with voters.

In hindsight, he'd have been a better PM than Johnson, Truss or Sunak - but they are 3 of the worst ever.

 

Yeh if theres a criticism of Corbyn it was his naivity towards what a dirty game modern politics is and he never engaged and fought his corner against those that were constantly out to do a hatchet job on him' he was probably too decent.
