My thoughts exactly. Think the pre match and half time tipple is Horlicks. We’re all over the place every week for first 10 minutes of both halves.

I remember two excellent Kane passes in the first 10 mins today that almost led to goals

Shows what a good job Steve Evans is doing, I'd guess our budget and cost of squad is far higher than Stevenage's.

Exactly this. There's folk who want us to move Williams out of the back 3, and the defence to play a high line, and they reckon Collins doesn't know what he's doing. It's brain exploding irony. We'd be bottom of the league with those tactics and these players.

Do you think we play a high line ? I'd say we play very deep hence the general passing about at the back, it worked for Styles quality long ball for Mcatee to score our first.

I can't give much credit to Stevenage. I thought they were terrible. Charlton, on the other hand, played some excellent football against us last week.

Think the op is harsh here. It was a shocking game, but it was one in which Collins got the second half right and we won the game.

I still don’t rate him particularly highly as I’ve said on other threads but credit where it’s due. We’ve now won from behind twice and have finally beaten a top ten team today. Yeah they were crap but so what? They were fourth for some reason.

When the poll about sacking Collins was put on a while ago, I was undecided, the jury was still out for me. They're back now and the verdict is.....

Get rid and let Disco or Sir Bobby have a go. Can't do much worse.

Despite the dire game, it was great to be back at Oakwell today.

He should have been gone 5 games ago it’s awful, no realistic chance of promotion , the team aren’t gelling and the Kane interview says to me alls not rosey in the garden

Sacking him at this stage would be crazy, given the recent results, & where we are in the table. But I believe we are underperforming, massively, because of a few factors, mainly Collins failing to get this squad playing as a team, there’s a distinct lack of team spirit for me, we had that in abundance last season, because clearly Duff is a good manager. I think Collins excels more in a coaching role & would probably make a good assistant. Obviously the disjointed defence doesn’t help, but that’s down to the board. I think up to present we’ve only managed to beat the tripe of the division, & after seeing Stevenage yesterday I’m including them in that, they will not stay in the top 6 much longer. We will get soundly beaten by Peterborough, they are a good side, 2nd in the table. But we would stand more of a chance with a decent manager. But as I say, it would be mad to sack Collins, that’s the dilemma.

We may get soundly beaten at Peterborough, but I'd also not be surprised if we get a result there. Key game for me as a yardstick to where we are.

As for sacking Collins - I've said many times on here that the football is often quite painful to watch, but 1 defeat in 11 speaks for itself. The home form seems to be turning and the away form is insanely good by anyone's standards. Even basket cases like Watford would be hard pushed to fire a manager with Collins's record.

Trouble is he’s no plan B and it’s clear he hasn’t got the dressing room, not sure I trust him in the window but hopefully Bobby has a day in recruitment?
As far as outgoings I hope we kept Liam Roberts and Luca Connell rest I’m not bothered about, Styles don’t want to be here, same with Kane but he’d be no loss and don’t get me started on Cole! Folk panicking we’d lose him is bizarre he’s bang average but has scored a few granted.
Up top we are so powder puff it’s unbelievable

Any evidence of him not having the dressing room?

I get why some folk are maybe a little frustrated with some of the performances at times - I'm not daft.

But I don't get why they make up lies like that.

I think he's a **** manager. I think we are boring as hell and I think that long term we will not be successful at all under him.

But I see nothing to suggest he hasn't got the dressing room. Kane put as little effort in last year as he does this (at times) Phillips the same. Styles has never wanted to be here. Cole has always been pretty damn lazy.
