more questions than answers really. Poor decisions from Collins and a poor attitude from the team made that a very unconvincing win in the end.

Shows how important Luca is, had to be subbed early due to poor refs decision, can't risk him getting red. Wasn't Collins making lazy passes, just makes starting 11 easier to pick.
Excellent away win. Juggled the squad well both in selection and in substitutions. Great to see the usual folk crying because we've scored 3 goals away from home and won. 4 points off automatic. Merry Christmas Reds.
Anyone who missed the first half will think that was an awful display. Connell picking up the yellow was the first blow. Bringing him off at half time was fair enough but it proved costly. Russell just wasn't up to speed. That used up one substitution. Bringing off Cole and McAtee was harsh but I genuinely thought Jalo and Cosgrove would have some joy. Shame the rest of the team collapsed as they came on. And then once again a disastrous change to the defence when things looked comfortable. That's no poke at Lopata (although he did look slow, getting beat easily for Vale's second) but changing the defence almost always ends in tears. I assume McCart was injured and couldn't continue. But that was all substitutions used so Styles and Cotter didn't get to come on the freshen it up. Given two of those three substitutions looked to be pushed on Collins I don't think we can be two critical of them. Also... Cosgrove turned the last man and would have been through on goal had he not been wrestled to the ground. Only a yellow card?
Delighted we won but you did not need to make our arses twitch like that Neill/lads, good grief. Please don't ever try and sit back on a lead again with 45 mins still to play.
We certainly make things difficult for ourselves, don't we? Excellent first half performance, but rather than continuing to play on the front foot, we revert to a much more defensive stance and it could've cost us in the end. Still, yet another three points away from home, so happy enough with that. It's easy to be a manager/head coach from behind a keyboard! McAtee was my MOTM.
Poor second half, subs definitely changed the game for the worse but questions have to be asked of those on the pitch for me; zero composure, no pressing, awful passing. Felt to me like they believed the game was won and so stopped putting the effort in and totally switched off
My dodgy box supplier had a nightmare & I only saw the first half but we were outstanding. McAtee & Kane superb again. Connell needs to chill out with the stupid tackles, we’ve missed him enough this season without losing him to daft suspensions. Good to get the win wrapped up early & seemingly go through the motions second half. Hopefully we’ll be fresh for Friday where as Peterborough’s had a battle for 90 mins.
