didn’t see anyone crying just commenting on what they saw. You may have seen a footballing display akin to the 1970 Brazil team with zero errors from team or management I saw a flawed but valuable win. Not sure tbf. On way back they were on 47 but could be BBC ******* up n
nobody is crying though are they? just pointing out that the manager made negative tactical changes ( again) that put us on the back foot . Nobody is blaming him for subbing a bloke on a card either, they are querying him bringing on a player seemingly incapable of moving above a slow amble!
Another precious 3 points, but the second half was poor. People are simply pointing that out. Personally speaking, I complimented the first half on merit. Equally I criticised the second half on merit. I think I'm entitled to do that. Tbh mate I don't really understand why you're baiting fans, for questioning a really negative second half performance.
I wish some folk would grasp the simple concept that it's quite possible to be happy with 3 points, but aware we were seriously lacking in that second half. One doesn't rule out the other.
That's a fair post - no issues. And I've no arguments with folk who can articulate responses like this one. I'm baiting people (if that's the right word) for their constant negativity week after week after week. It's ridiculous with the position we're in and the results that we've been getting.
One thing I’d say is that results now are at a level where we have to put performance levels to one side and really get behind Collins and the team. There will be time to reflect in the summer but he’s earned the right to manage us into the business end of the season. Doesn’t put him beyond criticism obviously but if it’s positive criticism then so be it. Today. Great result some poor decisions from Neil but he will learn from it.
Another Collins head scratcher. A very good opening 45, I supported him taking off Connell, and yet the second half was exceptionally poor; he cannot seem to back up a good half and put a complete performance together. But three points all the same.
I worry every time Russell comes on. So I naturally worry even more, when he comes on for the second half. Everything I've seen, tells me that means we're straight on the defensive for 50+ minutes. He plays like he's in treacle. I know plenty think he's class, but I just don't see it. Anyway, another 3 points in the bag.
Derby visit Oxford on Friday along with our game, then Portsmouth v Stevenage and Derby v Peterborough in the 1st. important games at the top.
Sorry for being a bellend btw. I'm just really enjoying our results if I'm honest - and I genuinely can't understand why there's so much negativity. I get that were not blowing teams away with slick, high tempo football - but with the pieces that we have, I don't think we can be doing much better than we are. Merry Christmas to everyone.
I can't understand it either Fonz, and I think anybody who still thinks and wants Collins to be sacked after that today.. well I think its just ridiculous!.
