I think he had to take Luca off. I think both strikers off was an error but you could understand him wanting to rest them.

 

Connell was on a booking. I probably wouldn't have taken him off that early, but you can see why.

I also don't like making changes to the back 3, but again, I can see why he'd give McCart a rest, unless it was due to injury of course.

Given we've got 4 matches in 9 days, including a very important game at Peterborough in 4 days time, you can also see why he took the front 2 off.

And we still won.

Yep,commanding centre half,sell Mcarthy and Cundy cos he obviously doesn't fancy them and another grafting midfielder to sub on for Connell.Don't think they will sell Russell cos of the lengthy contract and who would want to buy !

 

Reading the title of this thread before clicking it I thought this would be a sarcastic thread but it’s not, I’m a bit stunned.

Gained some decent points on teams around us today. I’ll be glad when our games in hand have been played though because I keep getting ahead of myself looking at the table. We aren’t amazing by any stretch but this division is poorer at the top this year so will take a lot less points to be up there around the top 2 I think.

 

We need to sign somebody capable of replacing Connell when he’s out injured or suspended. Russell needs offloading, he’s not good enough. It didn’t take a genius to realise we would be 2nd best in the 2nd half as soon as that change was made.

 

Do you mean Russell the Jamaican International whos got a league One promotion on his cv.Hes a young man with lots to offer.His time will come to shine.

 

If he was taking Luca off though, i would have thought styles was a better replacement, in fact anybody bar Russell
