Saw a post on social media earlier that someone was taking their tree down which I thought seemed a bit odd……..we leave ours up till January 6th

I can see why people do. We're all back at work tomorrow, so Christmas is all wrapped up for us after today.

Mrs would have it down now if I didn’t insist it see the new year in.

She’d also have it up just after bonfire night though, but has relented to the start of December over time.

She seems to want it to be Christmas weeks before but then is over it before it actually gets here. And I don’t think she’s unusual in that, a few mates have said their Mrs is exactly the same, a couple have said they were putting the stuff back in the loft yesterday.

Taking it all down right now before work starts. We decorate in mid Nov but once Boxing Day is past it all feels done. We’d take down the outside decorations too if it weren’t raining.

Usually after new year. Friend of mine now take his down on boxing day as his daughters birthday is today and they like to make a clear distinction for her. She's only 5 ,which I think is nice.

Ours usually goes up the third week in November, if it was up to the general she’d hade it up just after Valentine’s Day :D

A do love this time of year though so it doesn’t bother me at all seeing it up

Well yeah, when I said 'we're all', I was limiting that to the people in our house. I wasn't speaking for the entire population :)

Our goes up on Christmas Eve as my birthday is 23rd Dec. It comes back down on 6th Jan. The twelve days of Christmas are the ones after Christmas Day so it makes sense to have the tree up for them.

Ideally put it up 2nd week of December, down on 6th Jan, but depending on weekends/ other commitments will take it down some time after New Year’s Day.
Nice to have the decorations up, but always looks tidier when it’s all away. Doesn’t seem two minutes since the last time we packed it away.

Eldest's birthday is 4th Jan so we take it down on the second or third.

Yeah as others have said it often depends on the weekends and return to work dates etc. Will be 6th or 7th this year.

I’d not feel in the spirit if we left as late as that tbh but it’s each to their own a suppose………
