    Bobby Thomas didn’t have that much experience last season but improved us. Although saying that, there was Mads and Kitching to organise already.

    Ideally we need someone to get the back line organised and control it but also have a bit of pace so we can push Williams to right wing back. I think that may be wishing for a bit much so maybe Williams will stay where he is all season but we’ll sign a centre back to replace McCart maybe. I imagine he was only a stop gap for this season anyway.

    I don't think you are. He's not flashy, but I think it often goes unnoticed how much of a cool head he is. He struggled to gel with De Gevigney at the start of the season, but they're connecting much better now. I noticed how much unsettled we looked yesterday without him.

    For me, if we're replacing anyone in the back line, it's Williams.

    I can't see this clamour for a CB myself.
    I'd much prefer an effective MF to cover Luca and Herbie, cos Russell's not it.
    If Adam Phillips returned to last seasons form I don't think we'd be far off.

    There's some great suggestions on here about what we need. My worry is, we'll end up with a couple of cheap signings from lower leagues who the the club thinks it can make money on, regardless of what positions they play!
