They could get dragged into the thick of it, and might swap places with a certain team near the bottom.
I know his name gets mentioned every time the team is mentioned but the other day/week someone on Sky actually said “Birmingham’s Wayne Rooney” when reading the half time scores out. I think they got in a muddle bless them.
His appointment was never anything to do with success on the pitch. All about expanding the brand and shifting some shirts overseas.
To be fair he did but if they get relegated he will have a record of taking two clubs into relegation. 2 out of 3 clubs(and third couldn’t be relegated) what a record.
Did he? With the squad he had at his disposal, I'd say they should have stayed up comfortably that season, even with the points deduction.
Which players in that ageing squad did you think we're good? He had a big points deduction and a transfer embargo to contend with aswell. Opinions but I thought he did a good job under the circumstances.
I agree he did a decent job at Derby in those circumstances. No going so well at Birmingham yet though, however I do think some on here are just hoping he doesn’t succeed because he’s Wayne Rooney......some forget he’s one of this country’s all time greats and don’t want to give a chance of management.
