Imho the chronicle article encourages me in that it highlights what we all know we need and hopeful to sign.
The Jalo talks are also encouraging.
It also proves our summer transfer activity was shocking....with quantity over quantity. As Jay says do we trust the same people to bring in a proper CB or should we just ask the coach?
If we get the centre back right....I can see this as a massive transformation for our season.

How many centre backs do we have at the club? 5? Not counting Williams?

I’d understood there was not much chance of Jalo signing so will be impressed if Bobby convinces him.

King Kong Bundy more chance of getting a game than Cundy.

I think the 15min role is working well for him for now - that can be tweaked against some teams. The more physical opponents he’ll get less time I’d say.

He’s been managed well - and if we can’t trust Hassell and Devaney (and Dyer publicly backing them both) then we’ve no hope.

The big risk for us, is if someone like Southampton bids for him - not because of the money, but because they are a decent team for young players to develop at, and they get the chance too historically - they’re like us but way more advanced at that role.

I'd be amazed if he re-signs when one of the biggest teams in Portugal apparently want him. It'll take some serious convincing.
