Been giving it some thought,if we switch round the home and away form ie we had only lost one at home so far would we be more positive. I can answer I would be it's one thing sitting at home watching us win (never a bad thing winning) but actually been there is different thing isn't it. We are in just as strong a position if not stronger than last season but just don't feel as optimistic could this be the answer.
Stronger position than 2018/19 too. I just can't see this side going 19 unbeaten like 2018/19 or going on a run like last seasons side.
Obviously winning normally makes you feel better but we won 7-0 first match and I came away feeling very negative. So for me its not just the winning, it is the way we play to win that is important.
Reminds me of a Wednesday supporting friend of mine a few years back, they'd lost 5 nil at the weekend and discussing it on Monday morning he was adamant that the best team lost.
But the most uneasy on the eye team in recent years nearly took us to the promised land and I loved it to be honest. Give me winning ugly over losing with style any day.
Until all them dildos came back early and jinxed em'. Still think we'd have gone up if we hadn't sold our souls for two pieces of silver.
I get what you're saying about Val's team but I thought it was a very brave and well drilled side that you always knew what you'd get from it whereas this season you can't predict how we'll approach things from one half to the next.
I totally agree been saying for weeks ive no idea where we will finish other than we won't finish lower than 10th with the proper rubbish in this league.
I genuinely believe that we're good enough to get promoted if the players are allowed to play on the front foot.
Just can't put my finger on it by this point of the season I've usually got a pretty firm option not always right as to where we will finish not a clue this season
My dad still maintains that when we lost 6-1 away at Tranmere in 1994 we were, in fact, the better team - they just scored with every freak shot they had.
I was there and your dad was right. If the result had been the opposite way round we would have been laughing
