That tells me absolutely everything I need to know about Max Watters. Williams steaming forward looking for a pass, and Watters is jogging straight in front of him, in a straight line. Absolutely zero movement or footballing nous whatsoever.
Thrown away a 2-0 lead but I'm quite content with that performance and result. I think Barnsley have just shown they're a serious promotion threat.
Decent result, could have won that though with some better decision making. Bit harsh to be to too negative on anyone though. 2-2 away at 2nd in the league is a good result. Roll on New Year’s Day
Would have taken a point before the match, but 2-0 up and absolutely cruising, feels like a dropped point. Our defence is simply not good enough.
Positives with Lopata doing well when he came on and Jordan looked good at RWB. McCart was a big loss today so our defence did well considering that. Good game.
Ultimately a decent point, based on pre-match expectations. You could argue we've dropped points after being 2-0 up early on, but conceding 2 goals either side of half-time had me expecting us to ultimately lose the game, so they've done well not to capitulate further. The Sky summariser thought it was an entertaining end-to-end game, so hopefully the travelling fans will be leaving with some optimism.
In the end I think they were successful if not spectacular. Lapata was steady away, which was my biggest concern.
I actually think the substitutes (not particularly Watters but i understand the need for fresh legs) were the right decisions.
