    What a brilliant point.

Sat in a Teepee in town.

    I think we're going up.

Would love to know how many goals Clarke-Harris has got against us in his career it feels like he’s fookin haunted us over the years.

Didn’t get chance to watch tonight but reading through the MDT’’s it’s becoming more and more obvious that some posters keep quiet when we are winning and seemingly can’t wait to pile in ( Scott in particular) as soon as things turn.
I think we all know that a dominant centre half that can organise a would help us a helluva lot but it is what it is at the moment.

Yeah it was his decision to play two Wing backs at CB and concede 2 goals from crosses in less than 5 mins (across 2 half’s) he then decided to bring an actual CB afterwards. Wonder if he learned from his own mistake tonight. Fingers crossed.

We can't keep going on about last season's defenders, the expectations should still be high because we've got some fantastic players for this division and need to keep playing with the positivity that we showed for most of tonight.

I kind of agree but let’s be right we (following a fourth place finish) sold/lost (a lot out of the ownership control) the whole defence so for someone to be digging out the manager is poor. Also, in this league Peterborough away will always be tough. And to reiterate before being accused of being negative I am still disappointed with the result based upon the way we played.

I groaned when I saw their number nine back in the team. That was maybe a clever bit of management by Fergie Jnr because he knows that the player likes to score against us,

If he still wants away perhaps he could do a job for us?

For balance when we signed Luca Connell everyone said who the blinking heck was he? They'd heard rave reviews and nowt else of substance. The same applies this season. That's our recruitment model. It works for the most part. Tonight wasn't bad recruitment. It was inept game management...again. I firmly believe these players are good enough and that's why I'm harping on. Tonight wasn't expected. It bloody hurts.

Until May this year he'd never scored against us.
Played 5 without scoring until this May and since then he's played 3 and scored 4.
Never got an assist against us either.

I feel like some on here shouldn't be posting straight after a game.

    Too much emotional, negative drivel.

Praising a manager cos he’s better than Schopp or Asbaghi doesn’t really say much! Add in Morais and we’ve had three managers so woeful that you would hope anybody would be an improvement on them,

I think Collins has been poor. We’re 20 odd games in now and he’s an ex-centre back himself, so we can’t keep using the ‘new defence’ line. Surely we should be seeing some sort of improvement by now, even with the players we have. They are not improving, at all. De Gevigney has improved from his debut, granted, but how could he not improve on a 30 minute cameo reminiscent of Frank Spencer?! Williams is getting worse by the game though. “He’s playing out of position” they say. He’s played plenty of games in a back three over the past few years, where he’s done a decent job, and many, including my mate that I sit with in the Ponty, have long said that’s his best position. He’s been centre back all season and knew he would be there until at least January. I presume he attends training, led by our ex-centre back manager, and yet he’s getting worse. Why is this? Our opponents have, in the main, been rubbish. That goalline ‘clearance’ into his own net was awful. You don’t need to be a natural centre back to be able to hoof the ball. It would be interesting to know what effect switching the captaincy to Connell would have on his form. It could help relieve some of the pressure, or it could knock his confidence. As one of the more senior players he should be acting like a captain anyway, with or without the armband.

As a team we’ve had the odd spell here and there where we’ve played well, but even for the games we’ve been winning we have been very reliant on Collins, and Cole’s hot goalscoring streak won us plenty of points. But it’s only a fit again Connell that has seen us playing well for more than a 20 minute spell. With Connell in the team, Phillips and Kane, who have been pretty woeful all season, have suddenly found some form. McAtee is the only other player who has improved, as the season has gone on, but he is on loan from a Premiership club. We can’t just rely on Connell staying fit and away from yellow cards though. Look at the Port Vale game. A Connell led team were great first half, but a Connell-less team were woeful second half. Today Connell stayed on and we played well throughout the game, albeit with the lapses at the back. Other teams will have watched us and I can’t imagine any future opponent not starting withe the game plan to get at Connell, to either mark him out of the game or draw a booking out of him. We need a plan B and I’ve seen nothing to suggest one is forthcoming.

But the last few games have been encouraging, or the bits when Connell have been on the field have. So if Connell can stay on the pitch, improving the midfield trio, if McAtee continues playing like he has been, if Cole can keep playing like he did today and get back to the goalscoring form from earlier this season, and if we can keep Roberts beyond January, then that just leaves the defence to sort out. Collins seems incapable of improving what we have, so let’s hope for an early signing in January to come and do for the defence what Connell has done for the midfield.

I totally agree. Best post on here for a long time. Brought a tear to my eye. I've been too emotional posting straight after crap results.

I agree. A draw away at a team in the automatic places is crap.

Your predilection for verbosity does not, in fact, make you an authority. Luca is good, undoubtedly our most talented player. But like Scholes he can't tackle for ****. Let Collins and our other Ginger have a transfer window to correct their defensive inheritance.
    Then by all means spout.
